What is the mission of the procurement organization?
In an international environment, the mission of the ALE Procurement Organization is to provide all procurement services to its internal business partners for the achievement of ALE goals and targets.
The Procurement Organization manages suppliers, leads the sourcing, negotiation, procurement of products, software, services and solutions, and the related processes on behalf of the ALE and all its affiliates.
While a key objective remains to identify opportunities for cost and cash optimization, procurement is also responsible to uphold ALE purchasing compliance standards, as well as to maximize the interests of the company in any commercial commitments taken with suppliers.
What is my role?
As a Sourcing Procurement Manager, you manage and develop a portfolio of IC Telecom Component suppliers and Original Electronic Manufacturers dedicated to Optics and get them to reach ALE key objectives (such as Cost, Delivery Schedule, Quality… etc.) for the production and development of ALE products.
What am I responsible for?
Driving the supplier selection process for new projects, including by conducting audits.
Negotiating contracts, amendments and T&C with suppliers.
Managing and developing the business relationship with suppliers and getting them continuously improving their performance, including by:
the monitoring of the supplier performance and definition and follow-up of action plans to have them improving quarter over quarter: Cost, Operational performances and Quality, in a spirit of mutual benefit for both supplier and ALE,
the management of supplier escalation in case of Component shortages at EMS factories,
the management of periodic Business Reviews with suppliers.
Identifying commercial risks and taking appropriate actions to mitigate the company's exposure to risks associated with suppliers.
Promoting ALE procurement strategy and policies inside the organization.
Sourcing of second source suppliers and promote the qualification to R&D
Building and maintaining market intelligence in the field of IC Telecom Components and Optics.

JOB DUTIES: This job consists of three related but separate duties. They are:
Develop test cases for networking features and protocols based on technical review of Software and Hardware functional specifications, RFCs and real-world scenarios
Design, develop, operate, and debug automation scripts/tools used for testing data communication network switches and routers.
Design and implement switched LAN and WAN network topologies
Conduct manual, semi-automated, and automated tests to validate new product development, debug scripts, and troubleshoot switch problems.
Work on complex customer escalated failure conditions and isolate bug
Open problem reports for failures detected, troubleshoot failures to their root-cause and clearly understand and articulate those failures. Work with software engineers to resolve the failures.
In support of the above, the individual will configure, operate, and automate Ixia and SmartBits traffic generators.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3+ years experience in Data communication product test and verification environment. Must have hands-on experience in configuring Switches and Routers, methodical trouble shooting techniques in a complex product environment with dynamically changing network topologies. TCP/IP protocol knowledge and experience in Ethernet is required. Experience in operation and development of test automation systems using the Unix environment and Scripting languages.
Very good understanding of L2/ L3 layers of OSI Sack. Strong understanding of TCP/ IP layer and HTTP/ HTTPS protocols and hands on experience on testing them. In-depth knowledge and protocol testing experience of protocols like MPLS, RSTP, MSTP, LLDP, LACP, OAM, BGP, OSPF, PIM, ISIS, QoS, 802.1Q, and SNMP v1, v2, and v3. Good hands on experience in Python scripting language. Extensive experience in handling IXIA, Spirent traffic generators. Hands on experience in creating test beds for complex customer escalations. Other desirable skills include experience with a Solaris/UNIX environment and C-programming.
The individual must be a resourceful, independent, multi-tasking, self-starter who wants to work in a high paced, fast learning, team environment.
