The Opportunity Alliance (TOA) is hiring full-time Crisis Intervention Specialists to join our Mobile Crisis Response & Outreach Program!
Pay Rate: $23/hour
The Crisis Intervention Specialist is a professional social work position for Cumberland County Crisis Response program (CCCR). This position provides direct service and immediate intervention as identified and appropriate to the provision of crisis intervention and stabilization services; both in the field and through the Crisis Telephone Response system.
What You'll Do:
Respond to and support adults, children, and families in mental health crises
Engage, de-escalate, assess needs, and develop collaborative action steps
Provide direct service and intervention in person, by phone, or through electronic media
The person in this position attends staff meetings as needed to ensure continuity of care, participates in other meetings as needed, establishes and maintains positive work relationships, engages fully as a member of the team, proactively demonstrates constructive conflict resolution skills and employs helpful self-care tools that recognize and safely attend to issues of secondary traumatization.
All work is performed with the goal and intention of maintaining a trauma-informed, trauma sensitive, and recovery-oriented framework.

The Behavioral Health Clinician provides high-quality behavioral healthcare as a collaborative primary care team member focused on short-term episodes of care, skill-based counseling, and coordination/outreach. This position works with a majority adult patient population.
We are offering a $7,500 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week benefitted position located at our Lebanon campus. Once oriented to the position, it will be a hybrid position, working three days a week in the office and two days a week remotely. We anticipate spending the first four to six months on-site while orienting to the position before moving to a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
As a licensed independent mental health clinician works with the Primary Care team to address the behavioral health needs of patients in primary care utilizing the Collaborative Care model of integrated care, which includes consults, short-term counseling, care coordination, outreach and data collection.
Partners with PCP teams to systematically screen and assess for opiate misuse and other substance use disorders. Conduct triage visits and/or initial evaluations to help clarify behavioral health concerns and develop an individualized, appropriate care plan.
Enrolls patients referred by the PCP into the collaborative care program, which includes both in person and telephone outreach visits for a short-term episode of care, up to 12 weeks duration.
Utilizes evidence-based clinical procedures to deliver care in a standardized format and measure patient's symptoms and response to treatment through questionnaires and survey tools.
Effectively maintains and manages a patient registry to track patients, monitor progress and report program focused metrics.
Provides limited face-to-face, short-term counseling including; problem-solving therapy, brief CBT, motivational interviewing or brief supportive therapy.
Proactively communicates with patients, primary care team members and the consulting psychiatrist to aid in effective, patient-centered, team-based care.
Assists patients in need of higher levels or care, specialty mental health or substance use services, outside of primary care, to connect with appropriate treatment resources.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Supports the department's educational and workforce development mission by providing supervision and learning opportunities for trainees in mental health fields. This may include supervising student internships and/or providing clinical supervision toward licensure for master's prepared clinicians.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling/Therapy, or Addiction Counseling from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.
Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months
Required Licensure/Certifications

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Finding Youth Resilience is a trauma-treatment focused mental health program serving youth ages 3-18 years old. We provide TF-CBT and EMDR, case management, and family support to youth who are working through varying levels of trauma. We aim to support youth and their caregiver through individual and family sessions. Our program offers a safe and supportive environment where youth can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and empower them to thrive.
Responsibilities
Provide mental health services, consultation and advocacy services to participants and their families
Provide clinical assessment, evaluation, service plan development, case management, crisis intervention, collateral services, collect pre and post program data on program participants regarding satisfaction and progress, and other duties as necessary

Finding Youth Resilience is a trauma-treatment focused mental health program serving youth ages 3-18 years old. We provide TF-CBT and EMDR, case management, and family support to youth who are working through varying levels of trauma. We aim to support youth and their caregiver through individual and family sessions. Our program offers a safe and supportive environment where youth can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and empower them to thrive.
Responsibilities

Overview

Provides first-line crisis intervention and mediation as necessary.

Serve as a liaison to coordinate, makes referrals, or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed, acts as an advocate for the client as needed.
Performs related administrative responsibilities; maintains client information, reports, records, and other documents; responds timely to emails and phone calls; attends and participates in various trainings and meetings; communicates with other agencies, departments, and vendors regarding required paperwork, contract compliance and consults with other county agencies and/or supportive services as necessary.
Accurately and promptly, documents and maintains the confidentiality of client and family interactions including, legal, financial, and clinical documentation within agency guidelines.
Maintains ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals, parents or outside agency professionals assigned to case.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
When working with Caregiver and youth:
Assists families to build skills in the following areas child development, empathy, age appropriate discipline-limit setting, behavior management/modification/encouragement, household management, understanding and handling stress and anger, personal power, communication and positive relationships.
Assists with enhancing positive family functioning to ensure children are raised in a warm and trusting environment.
When working with youth:
Provides school personnel and Caregivers with education and support on mental health, discipline, behavior management, household management, communication and relationship enhancement.
Informs appropriate school personnel of clients being served maintaining confidentiality.
Ensures that clients are in the proper educational setting.
Consults with school personnel and participate in team meetings, as necessary.
Educates school personnel on various mental health conditions/diagnoses and assist with effective classroom intervention/strategies.
Exhibits positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Performance/Physical Requirements:
Work consist of walking, bending, stooping, ascending/descending stairs, and remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time, including positioning self to an equal level in order to assist clients of all ages.
Work environment is based in the community and can include an agency office, school-based setting, child care facilities, or participant's homes.
Must be able to drive frequently due to work varying work environments including agency office, school based, community based locations which may include participant homes in various communities.
Works flexible hours, which can include days, evenings, and weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients and the OhioGuidestone and is available for crisis management by phone as needed.

Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma with 3 years of mental health or related experience*, an Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with 1 year of mental health or related experience*. A Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.

The primary role of the Behavioral Health Clinician is to provide high quality diagnostic assessment for clients in Homefull programs. The Behavioral Health Clinician should function as part of the team in the programs to which they are assigned, and collaborate with case management & supervisory staff to meet the mental health needs of the clients, in order to increase client stability and success in housing.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
The Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible for:
-completing diagnostic assessments for clients to aid in housing and service referral;
-assisting clients in a behavioral health crisis;
-functioning as part of the Medicaid team and as directed by the Clinical Director, provide support to staff providing CPST services;
-completing high quality clinical documentation at the time of services, meeting all compliance documentation requirements;
-submitting Medicaid reimbursed services to help meet financial goals;
-complete all documentation following agency policies and procedures;
-providing clinical training to case management and assessment staff as assigned by Clinical Director and/or executive team;
-participating in ongoing education and training to develop professional skills and maintain licensure;
-ability to travel to Homefull sites both in Montgomery County and Franklin County to meet clients and consult with staff;
-other duties as assigned that help meet the mission and vision of Homefull and the needs of clients.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree and/or license in social work required with independent Ohio licensure (LSW or LISW) to provide diagnostic and therapy services as well as approve Medicaid reimbursed services.
