Summary: The Sr. HR Generalist is an essential partner to our Motley Operations teams and provides comprehensive HR support to the management. Under the general direction of the Plant HR Manager, the generalist will administer policies and procedures in all areas of Human Resources. Key Responsibilities: Provides HR support to the operations teams, including administering company policies, procedures and programs. Works with Managers to determine staffing needs and develop job descriptions. Facilitates the hiring process by posting, recruiting, interviewing and selecting employees to fill vacant positions along with the appropriate supervisor. Conducts employee onboarding and training and assists management with monitoring performance according to Trident standards. Keeps records and completes employment related forms, and documentation including separation forms and related documentation, conducts exit interviews as appropriate. Administers benefit programs and explains benefits information to employees. Conducts open enrollment meetings if required. Partners with leadership to resolve employee performance issues and assists supervisors with providing counseling to employees. Reviews and manages leaves of absence and requests for accommodation and insures compliance with ADA. Involves worker's comp team and/or appropriate level of leadership as necessary. Facilitates the employee performance review program to ensure compliance with Trident procedures and equity within the organization. Maintains working knowledge of existing and new Federal, State and Local laws and regulations affecting the workforce. Makes recommendations as needed to update policies and procedures. Works directly with plant leadership to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations as well as Company procedures for hiring, corrective action, safety and FSQA, and other regulatory and policy adherence. Delivers training for employees as needed. Conducts or assists with investigations. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Additional Responsibilities: Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. May process employee timecards, payroll reports, Time Away From Work requests, etc. as needed. Other and similar duties as assigned and will vary depending on location. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $28.50 to $38.00. Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of five years' experience working in one or more functional areas of Human Resources or a related area, with at least two years' experience with Employee Relations, Policy and Procedure administration, compliance, and/or related.Generalist experience is preferred. Computer proficient including Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in English and Spanish languages is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the education requirement. SHRM CP or HRCI PHR Certification preferred Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel or crouch and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 5 pounds occasionally up to 25 pounds.
