Alertus Technologies was founded in 2002 out of the University of Maryland after a tornado ripped through the campus taking two students lives without sufficient warning. Over the past decade, the Alertus Notification System has been implemented worldwide at hundreds of campuses, hospitals, bases, government buildings, and corporate and industrial sites.
