Marc’s career in pharmaceuticals, which has included periods with Roussel Uclaf, Hoechst Marion Roussel and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), has given him extensive industry experience, including finance and accounting; corporate strategy and planning; research and development; sales and marketing; business reorganisation; and business development. Marc is a qualified accountant and joined AstraZeneca in 2013, serving as Executive Vice-President, GPPS from June to October 2013. Prior to that, he served as Global Head of Rare Diseases at GSK and (concurrently) Chairman, GSK Japan. He holds an MBA from HEC, Paris and a Bachelor of Law degree from Paris University.

Ludwig N. Hantson, Ph.D. is corporate vice president and president of Baxter's BioScience business. In this role, he oversees Baxter's worldwide biopharmaceutical, vaccine, and biosurgery and regenerative medicine products. Hantson took on his current role at Baxter in October 2010. Hantson joined Baxter as corporate vice president and president of the company's International business in May 2010 from Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, where he was responsible for operations in the United States and Canada. During his nine years with Novartis, Hantson served in a variety of key senior management positions, including leading the specialty pharmaceuticals unit in the United States and the European pharmaceuticals operations. Prior to Novartis, he spent 13 years at Johnson & Johnson (Janssen Pharmaceutica) in roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and clinical R&D. He began his healthcare career at Smith & Nephew, in Belgium. Hantson is a member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Board of Directors. Hantson received a Doctorate in Motor Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy from the University of Louvain, Belgium.
