Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Current New York State Speech Language Pathology license BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). Min 2 yrs clinical exp w/ diverse pt populations Specialized training in dysphagia evaluation & rehabilitation, including competence in MBS &/or FEES procedures. Implement and progress evidence-based therapy interventions consistent with established and modified goals and plans of care according to the patient's response to treatment. Utilizes and supervises support staff as available and appropriate. Education/Training/Certifications Valid license as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by the NYSED Skills Required: Demonstrate knowledge of growth, development, and dynamics of behavior for age-related groups cared for. Knowledge of new computer software relating to patient treatment. Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams. The clinician needs to be aware of third-party insurance coverage. May focus on inpatient as well as outpatient treatment populations. Responsible for speech therapy program for assigned caseload.
