Package specimens for transport
Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
Attends annual department trainings
Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.Qualifications:
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
Reliable transportation with at least 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a valid driver's license issued in the state of residence.

Follow-ups with client and referral sources to ensure that needs are met
Ensure timely documentation of therapy and/or referral services within five (5) working days and case closing within ninety (90) days of last encounter.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER:
Three (3) year experience in mental health counseling or assessment;
Three (3) years'experience in the following:
Providing consultation on mental health related matters;
Conducting clinical interviews/assessments;
Determining diagnosis based on criteria outlined in latest version of the DSM;

A Doctoral or Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology or related field

DUTIES OF THE ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN:
Performs advanced sonographic scanning on all anatomical areas for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including biceps tendon, achilles tendon, patella tenon, superficial musculature, superficial lesion, hernia, etc.
Assists invasive diagnostic procedures such as cyst aspiration and ultrasound-guided tissue sampling.
Operate and maintain daily high-level disinfection device (Trophon) of all ultrasound probes.
Communicate timely and effectively with radiologist any abnormal ultrasound findings and clearly document these findings on the technologist work sheet.
Collaborate with co-workers in the Ultrasound section and Radiology department to proactively seek out opportunities for quality & process improvements.
Will participate in on-call duties for emergent ultrasounds on ECC and/or OR patients, in accordance with departmental policies. On-call duties include response time of 60 minutes and immediate accessibility by telephone and/or pager.
Images to be read remotely will be transmitted by the sonographer, according to department policies, utilizing PACS. Technologist will contact remote radiologist with the exam impression prior to leaving the facility in the event more imaging is requested/required.
Receive patients, explain procedures, and provide appropriate care. Correctly position the patient for the examination and adjust necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required.
Operate ultrasound scanners. Operate the linear, sector, and endovaginal probes as well as pulse and color Doppler capabilities of provided scanners.
Receive and interpret requests or instructions for diagnostic ultrasound scans;perform assigned quality control checks of the ultrasound scanners.
Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasonic examinations including but not limited to: obstetrical sonography, including imaging of all fetal anatomy in order to obtain accurate dating and growth parameters and evaluate for fetal abnormalities and problems with the pregnancy;pelvic sonography, including imaging of all pelvic anatomy to attain accurate assessment of suspected pathology;and endovaginal sonography exams to obtain accurate assessment of suspected pelvic pathology;abdominal sonography to include all major organs and systems of the abdomen;small parts sonography to include scans of the breast, thyroid and testicles;and limited vascular sonography to include carotid, aortic and lower/upper extremity venous duplex scans.
Performs numerous complex sonographic scanning on all anatomical areas for in-utero, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists radiologist and/or other physicians in performing invasive diagnostic techniques such as biopsies, aspirations and intraoperative localization of lesions, or other similar procedures.
Identify abnormalities during testing and determine need for additional scans of affected area.
Recognize anatomic variants and determine which other area(s) of the body should be scanned.
Use a detailed understanding of diseases of anatomy to accomplish effective ultrasound scanning.
Advise the physician of results of the examination and provide them with a preliminary diagnosis.
Notify physician of significant scans requiring immediate attention.
Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment on a regular basis in accordance with department standards.
Stock and maintain an adequate level of supplies required to ultrasound examinations.
Recommend necessary repairs when diagnostic quality is degraded.
Make minor adjustments on equipment. Differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological processes and recognize electronic equipment limitations. Program the examination equipment, set up the machine and scanning techniques to be employed.
Recognize the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for situations where a person requires resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.
Perform administrative duties to include but not limited to: print ultrasound work schedules/ arrive/depart patients;answer phone/schedule patients for exams;utilize CHCS/HAIMS/MRS.
Willingness to participate in cross- training activities within the department.
As registered sonographer, HCWs assist the Diagnostic Sonography training platform with training and student assessments. The responsibilities of a trainer include but are not limited to:
Trains and assesses staff and student competence
Explain pathology and relevant anatomy
Monitor appropriateness of care and completeness of examination requests.
Provide Feedback to students on ultrasound studies
Communicate issues with course supervisor
Complete initial and annual preceptor refresher training provided by CS.

Degree/Education: Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Certifications: The HCW shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications using American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Computer-based training does not constitute fulfilling the training requirements. Must maintain currency at NO cost to the government. Recertification is NOT provided by the MTF.

DUTIES OF THE CLINICAL PHARMACIST:
Clinical Pharmacist will be assigned to either the Family Practice Clinic or Internal Medicine Clinic after an orientation period in the Main Pharmacy.
Their core duties will be emphasized, and individual will be trained appropriately to work closely with providers and nurses.
Clinical pharmacist privileges may include:
Assessing patient s response to drug therapy and planning drug therapy based on physician- established diagnoses.
Ordering and evaluating laboratory tests necessary to evaluate drug therapy effects and outcomes.
Initiating, modifying, or discontinuing medications for ongoing therapy of chronic disease states (e.G., hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anticoagulant, diabetes, asthma, refill clinics, etc.), in cooperation with the medical staff.
Monitoring and managing pharmacotherapy requiring periodic adjustment due to specific or changing pharmacokinetic characteristics (e.G., aminoglycosides, phenytoin, antithrombotics).
Initiating or modifying drug therapy for minor acute conditions such as colds, rashes, and allergies.
Administering prescription or non-prescription drugs according to established agreements or protocols.
Assessing metabolic needs and ordering therapeutic enteral or parenteral nutrition products in the inpatient setting.
Evaluating medical and medication histories for drug-related problems and adjusting drug therapy accordingly.
Consulting with other healthcare providers (e.G., physicians, dietitians, nurses, physical therapists, etc.) about patient treatment needs or options.
Conducting and coordinating clinical investigations and research (consistent with other healthcare professionals) approved by a local or regional Investigational Review Board (IRB) and participating in outcome studies generated by the department of pharmacy and approved by the P&T Committee.
Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
Compound medications as required.
Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
Work closely with clinical staff in developing patient wellness programs such as smoking cessation programs and asthma classes.
Provide medication information and medication therapy guidelines to the clinical staff as required.
Provide medication and healthcare related in service training to clinical staff on new medications on the market;appropriate use of medications;comparison of current medication therapies;and other topics as deemed appropriate by the department head.
Provide clinical direction to pharmacy personnel.
Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
Consult with other specialty practitioners to provide optimal patient pharmaceutical care.
Ensure that work areas are clean and safe according to applicable regulations.
Document significant medication interactions, and pharmacy interactions with prescribers. Conduct Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting in accordance with TJC or AAAHC standards as appropriate.
Facilitate medical staff drug utilization reviews (DURs) as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PHARMACIST:
Degree/Education: A Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support:
Clinical pharmacists will be required to request clinical privileges from the 11 MDG Credentials Office to provide direct patient care and be granted prescriptive authority to manage medication treatments.
Obtain and maintain Medication Treatment Management Certification.
Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy, or Documentation of appropriate education, training, and/or CME in the practice of clinical pharmacy.
Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the credentialing instruction.
Board Certification: Board certification in one or more of the pharmacy specialties recognized by the Board of Pharmaceutical specialties.
Licensure/Registration: A current, valid, unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
US Citizenship required (for access to government computer systems).

DUTIES OF THE DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING TECHNICIAN - COMPUTER TOPOGRAPHY:
Performs administrative duties to include receiving patients and imaging requests, scheduling, and explaining methods of examination in person and over the telephone. Receives and interprets requests or instruction for CT scans. Assesses patient clinical history to determine the most effective protocols. Consults with referring physicians and technicians as necessary to obtain information regarding patient s examination. Utilizes hospital information systems.
Performs daily warm up and assigned quality control checks of the CT scanner.
Coordinates care for routine, emergent, inpatient, and special needs patients with the appropriate clinical staff. Receives patients and explains procedures, providing humane and appropriate care and communicates to alleviate fear of examination. Correctly positions the patient for the examination and makes adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determines if any special patient preparation is required.
Assists/performs consent procedures prior to CT exams requiring written consent from patients.
Operates CT scanner and auto injector. Determines proper instrument technical factors and control settings to ensure correct calculated exposure of targeted body parts. Programs the examination equipment. Sets up the machine and scanning techniques to be employed. Performs all CT examinations according to department protocols.
Assures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, or other required materials are available and in place. Understands and screens patients for contraindications to contrast use. Starts Intravenous lines for contrast administration. Prepares and administers contrast media orally, by enema, or intravenously under close supervision of a radiologist. Operates contrast power injector. Adjust injection rates. Informs radiologists when a conflict exists prior to injection, and responds promptly to adverse contrast reactions if/when necessary.
Performs a full range of CT examinations including but not limited to;contrast and non- contrast, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities and specialized studies such as angiography, etc.
Performs numerous complex CT examinations on all anatomical areas for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists radiologists and/or other physicians in performing invasive diagnostic techniques such as biopsies, aspirations, radiation therapy and interventional procedures.
Adjusts imaging parameters to include: window/levels, sets field of view, obtain part measurements, obtains regions of interest, reconstructs, and reformats images. Performs digital reconstruction of acquired images in accordance with standard protocol, physician request, and radiologist needs. Performs 3D reconstruction as appropriate to physician needs.
Ensures only optimal examinations are presented to the radiologist for interpretation. Maintains records of patients examined, examinations performed, sequences taken, and technical factors used.
Identifies abnormalities during testing and determines need for additional scans of affected area. Notifies physician of significant scans requiring immediate attention.
Utilizes the hospital information system and Picture Archiving Computer System (PACS) to acquire, transmit, and store digital CT examinations.
Images to be read remotely will be transmitted by the technologist, according to department policies, utilizing PACS.
Routinely performs digital image library functions to include acquiring, reformatting, transmission, storage, and loan procedures.
Maintains and cleans CT equipment on a regular basis in accordance with Radiology department standards. Stocks and maintains an adequate level of supplies required to perform CT examinations. Recommends necessary monthly repairs when diagnostic quality is degraded.
Differentiates artifacts from normal or pathological processes and recognizes electronic equipment limitations.
Practices safety principles. Performs two patient identifier verification of patients. Assists with consent procedures prior to exams requiring written consent from patients. Safely oversees, and brings to practice, As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles for patients and staff. Performs equipment quality control checks. Monitors personnel to ensure protective procedures such as radiation safety, hazardous material communications, and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health programs are followed. Performs tests on radiation protection equipment. Assesses staff competence, and monitors appropriateness of care and completeness of examination requests.
As needed, assists with student training activities IAW with regulation and course director plans;may instruct new personnel as they observe standard procedures to complete on-the-job training.
Attends and participates in all meetings, staff conferences, and other appropriate professional activities as required by the supervisor.
Recognizes the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for situations where a person requires resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING TECHNICIAN - COMPUTER TOPOGRAPHY:
Degree/Education: Graduation from a radiologic technologist training program accredited by the Joint Review committee on Education in Radiological Education (JCERT).

Experience:

DUTIES OF THE PARAMEDIC:

The EMT-P will be required to assist with patient care within the ECC when not performing emergency response or transport services.

DUTIES OF THE DENTAL ASSISTANT:

DUTIES OF THE PHARMACY TECHNICIAN:

Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers and other clinic specific equipment.
Excellent oral communication skills for patient/family education. Prescribes and communicates treatment plans in accordance with established Labor and Delivery protocols as prescribed in MTF policies and procedures and IAW JC guidelines. Contractor RNs shall provide proper care and evaluation of post-procedural patients.
Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required. Will be knowledgeable in administrative requirements for the documentation of patient's condition, progress and acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care.
Demonstrate excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity in accordance with requirements.
Demonstrated ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and reacts quickly and appropriately in emergency situations. Must have the ability to obtain, assess, and report critical lab or diagnostic results to patient s physician in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to act on all medical and therapeutic orders in a timely manner.
Can demonstrate and adhere to peri-operative, infection control and safety policies and procedures used in the MTF and IAW JC guidelines.
Schedules referral appointments, arranges for procedures, and performs telephone follow-up, as appropriate.
Provide care to normal and high risk antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum patients (the MTF has approximately 80% high risk population, e.G. PIH, diabetes, pre-term labor, multiple gestations). Recognize changes in maternal, fetal or newborn infant condition that would constitute an emergency situation and responds appropriately.
Use and interpret information from fetal monitoring equipment to include doptone, fetoscope, internal and external uterine and fetal monitoring. Initiate appropriate response to fetal monitoring information and document action in a timely fashion in accordance with the Association of Women s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) standards.
Operate and monitor the performance of essential equipment used in the care of stable newborns, e.G. Radiant warmer, blood glucose monitor, pulse oximeter, medications via syringe pumps, etc. Interpret and respond to data generated by such equipment.
Utilize knowledge of normal and high risk maternal, fetal and infant nursing care requirements after delivery to provide anticipatory guidance and education to parents.
Possess knowledge of normal and abnormal newborn physical and neurological development and application of same in delivery of nursing care to infants from birth until seven days of age.
Assess patient readiness for rooming-in, transfer to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or discharge.
Possess knowledge of normal and abnormal female anatomy and physiology, common gynecological surgery and application of same in delivery of nursing care to obstetrical patients.
Safely administer prescribed medications including IV push drugs and IV drips specific to pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal care as described. Monitor and document patient response.
Administer oxygen therapy, monitor oxygen equipment, and interpret and respond to data. Monitor patient and interpret and respond to data.
Assist in the performance and interpretation of the Non-Stress Test and Contraction Stress Test. Administer and monitor Pitocin infusions to induce or augment labor. Care for patients undergoing amniocentesis.
Assist in both vaginal and scheduled or emergent Cesarean Section deliveries, and other operative procedures permitted by MTF policy. Perform scrub and circulating duties in the Mother & Infant Care Center.
Recover both stable and unstable infants and patient of childbearing ages from general and regional anesthesia.
Identify potential post-anesthetic patient problems;specifically, airway management, hemodynamic instability and pain control, and intervene appropriately.
Provide Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as indicated.
Operate cardiac monitors, interpret cardiac rhythms, determine implications, and make indicated interventions.
Monitor and transition mothers/newborns during the immediate post-delivery (ii) Knowledge of and/or experience working with intrathecal, epidural, and general anesthesia.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE RN-L&D:
Degree/Education: A graduate of an Associate, Bachelor or Master s program of Registered Nursing. The institution will be from a National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or higher (Advanced Fetal Monitoring).
Valid, unrestricted, RN license at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the US.
Experience as a Registered Nurse for 3 years with at least two years as an RN in a high-risk Obstetrical Unit. Experience in the full spectrum of care to include L&D, antepartum, triage, circulating during C-sections.
