Allan Myers is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our Mainline Pipe Crew or Mass Excavation Crew on heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of experience operating excavators in site development, utility installation, or large-scale excavation projects. This role is essential to ensuring safe and efficient operations on our job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic excavators (e.g., Cat 330, 336, 349, or similar) to perform precise digging, trenching, and grading.
Excavate for utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems (Mainline Pipe Crew).
Perform bulk earthmoving, slope work, and grading in large-scale excavation projects (Mass Excavation Crew).
Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and laser levels.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, following company and OSHA safety standards.
Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
Work collaboratively with crew members, site supervisors, and project managers.
Hourly Range:
$26.00 - $29.00, based on experience. $1,000 one-time sign on bonus.

Qualifications

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking a driven and experienced Industrial Skilled Laborer to join our growing team. Our work includes challenging formed concrete foundations, assembly and installation of manufacturing machinery and in-plant renovations. Employees will be based out of Kinsley's North East, MD location but travel in the mid-Atlantic region for projects will be required.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with instruments for precise layout
Assist with excavation and backfill
Non CDL truck driving may be required
Perform formwork, placement of anchor bolts and placement of embeds
Perform placement of rebar
Perform placement of concrete including large mass pours, foundations, formed piers, formed walls, supported slabs and small areas of slab on grade
In addition to carpentry and concrete work, must be willing to learn standard rigging practices, steel erection fundamentals and pipefitting.
Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic and other material
Use various hand and power tools such as circular saws, nail guns, sanders, tape measures, squares, levels, brooms etc.
Fasten materials together with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
Load or unload building materials to be used in construction
Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding and temporary structures
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience is appreciated and will be evaluated when determining starting compensation
Basic math skills to properly measure for the number of materials needed
Read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, and specifications
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Must be willing and able to work at elevated heights on provided work platforms, scaffolding or manlifts.

Kinsley is currently seeking construction workers including form carpenters, rebar placement, concrete placement, and track hoe operators. Our work includes deep foundations, complicated machine foundations, quarry foundations and heavy industrial structural renovations. There is very little need for long days of finishing concrete, we do not do flatwork. However, concrete finishing experience is preferred.
Employees will be based out of Kinsley's North East, MD office but travel in the mid-Atlantic region for projects will be required. Kinsley will provide hotels and transportation for this required work-related travel.

This role is essential to ensuring safe and efficient operations on our job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic excavators (e.g., Cat 330, 336, 349, or similar) to perform precise digging, trenching, and grading.
Excavate for utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems (Mainline Pipe Crew).
Perform bulk earthmoving, slope work, and grading in large-scale excavation projects (Mass Excavation Crew).
Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and laser levels.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, following company and OSHA safety standards.
Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
