Early Head Start Teacher Reports To: Education Supervisor / Director of Operations Classification: Full Time / Full Year / Non-Exempt Status: Variable Salary Range: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour Required Education and Experience: Must meet the State of Michigan Child Care Licensing Standards for a lead caregiver and the Head Start requirements including a Child Development Associates Credential, with an Infant and Toddler Development Focus, awarded by the Council for Professional Development and have 480 hours of childcare experience. AA in Early Childhood Education or equivalent as defined by Head Start regulations is preferred. Pass pre-employment physical, TB test. Be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid. Summary/Objective: Teacher for Early Head Start is responsible for providing instructional experiences for the preschool child for adequate development in the social, emotional, physical, and educational processes. Teacher will possess knowledge and understanding of early childhood development, develop appropriate goals and objectives, and collaborate with the Co-Teacher and plan together. Essential Functions: Daily Activities: Plans activities that support progress of each individual child using the designated curriculum. Assure that room arrangement meets the developmental needs of all children. Maintain a safe and sanitary indoor and outdoor environment. Implements effective classroom management strategies. Plan outcomes, transitions in classroom, and implements activities for outdoor learning environment. Other duties as assigned. Family Partnership Family Partnership: Plans and implements transitions from Early Head Start to Head Start or other setting. Works in partnership with the families, special education team, and management members in the development and implementation of the child's individual education plan. Actively communicates with families to ensure every child's success. Screening and assessment results are shared with families, staff, and partners. Confers with families; refer child and family concerns to appropriate partners and staff.

All tasks are considered essential except those identified as non-essential. Essential Functions: Primarily acts as the on-call substitute for the Teachers. Implements developmentally appropriate group and individual activities for assigned children following program curriculum developed by Early Head Start teacher and in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Outcomes Framework, and local plan. Offer administrative support to Operations Supervisor ensuring the Head Start Performance Standards are adhered to properly. Facilitates the organization and distribution of classroom supplies as requested. Maintains classroom and office resource libraries, including the videotape library. Responsible for assisting in all developmental screening processes. Attends pre-service and in-service workshops, conferences, and area meetings as required to maintain current knowledge in areas pertaining to the job or as required by the Executive Director. Job Description Home Delivered Meals Driver Reports To: Lead Home Delivered Meals Driver Classification: Part Time/ Non-Exempt Status: Hourly Range: $12.48 per hour + Mileage Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED. Five plus years of successful work or volunteer experience in non-profit sector preferred. Serv Safe Food Handler or Food Manager Certification preferred. Summary/Objective: This position is responsible for delivery of hot and frozen meals to homebound seniors in Allegan County. Position provides support to the Senior Services Program Leadership by delivering meals while practicing all relevant food safety and quality procedures, preparing daily route logs at the beginning and end of the delivery day, data entry as needed, providing high quality client and stakeholder services. This position requires the Home Delivered Meals Driver to have access to a licensed and insured vehicle to complete daily routes. The driver must also be licensed with a driving record free of violations. Essential Functions: Maintain all programmatic and client confidentiality standards. Assist clients in attaining agency service; provide opportunities and resources during client interactions. Assist clients during assessment and/or re-assessment process in completion of necessary applications and paperwork. Maintain vehicle to pass all monitoring and annual vehicle checks. Maintain hard copy/digital records of mileage as programmatically required. Attain or maintain certifications as required by programmatic funders/stakeholders. Stay current on regulations, systems, and procedures related to Home Delivered Meals Driver Position. Assist in collection and analysis of data to prepare monthly and annual reports.
