Paradromics 4.1
Austin, TX jobs
Inspector
Brain-related illness is one of the last great frontiers in medicine, not because the brain is unknowable, but because it has been inaccessible. Paradromics is building a brain-computer interface (BCI) platform that records brain activity at the highest possible resolution: the individual neuron. AI algorithms then decode this massive amount of brain-data, enabling the seamless translation of thought into treatments.
Our first clinical application, the Connexus BCI, will help people who are unable to speak, due to ALS, spinal cord injuries and stroke, to communicate independently through digital devices. However, the capabilities of our BCI platform go far beyond our first application. With the brain in direct communication with digital devices, we can leverage technology to transform how we treat conditions ranging from sensory and motor deficits to untreatable mental illness.
The Role
As an Inspector on the Quality team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of manufactured medical devices. Over the next 6-12 months, you will independently perform established inspections, collect and document inspection data, and review manufacturing and procedural records to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Perform established inspections on manufactured medical devices in accordance with approved procedures.
Collect, document, and report accurate inspection data, including custom inspection requests.
Review manufacturing records, inspection records, and procedures for accuracy and compliance.
Identify, document, and escalate potential quality issues as appropriate.
Use designated inventory and inspection software systems to support inspection activities.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while performing repetitive inspection tasks.
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform high-accuracy, repetitive tasks.
2+ years of inspection experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, semiconductor).
High level of comfort using computer software systems, including inspection or manufacturing systems.
Ability to follow established procedures and work independently once trained.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a medical device startup environment.
Experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience using inspection equipment such as calipers or automated measurement systems.
Experience inspecting electrical systems or components.
Paradromics is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
