The Legal Assistant Trainee is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or individuals beginning their career in legal support. This position participates in a structured 12-month training program that provides hands-on experience across Intake, Pre-Litigation, and Litigation functions.
Upon successful completion of the program, the Legal Assistant Trainee will be eligible for advancement to a Legal Assistant I role within the firm.
Training Program Overview:
The 12-month training program is designed to build a strong foundation in legal operations and administrative support. The program includes:

Responsibilities:
Attend and successfully complete all training segments of the Legal Assistant Trainee 12-month training program.

Assist in preparing, editing, proofreading, filing, and maintaining legal documents, ensuring that all records are accurate and accessible within the case management system.
Act as a liaison between the legal department and all attorneys, facilitating communication and document exchange, and helping to streamline operations.
Track contract deadlines, renewal dates, and other critical legal timelines.
Assist in case file research, monitor compliance with legal regulations, and support the preparation of legal filings and firm reports.
Coordinate with internal departments as needed.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Stay informed of relevant legal and regulatory changes that may impact the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in legal studies, Business, Political Science, or a related field preferred. Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience desired.
Internship or administrative experience in a legal setting is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Summary
