Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for the supply/implant levels of assigned area including ordering, tracking & restocking, monitoring, review and removal of expired & obsoleted items, establishing & adjusting appropriate reorder points for existing, as well as new items. First line of supervision of all CSC activities, providing guidance & training, guidance & assistance to CSC Inventory Associate team to ensure appropriate inventory levels in the perioperative clinical areas, as well as timely/efficient delivery of inventory to the perioperative areas. * Responsible for the maintenance & update for the CSC Perioperative pyxis supply system, including removal of expired & obsolete items; new item setup; adjustment of appropriate PARS & reorder points; processing any changes requested by clinical management team and providing CSC Director with reports upon request. * Limit & manage out of stock issues through coordination with CSC & clinical management, as well as warehouse team, regarding backorders, recalls, discontinued/replaced, expiring or temporarily unavailable products. Communicate all issues/resolutions on a timely basis & assist in development of a resolution to help ensure product availability. * Complete monthly expiration audit of assigned area, removing all expired/expiring items, alerting clinical management and timely processing of orders to replenish available supply. Compile monthly expiration audits completed by CSC Inventory Associates and provide to CSC director. * Monitor orders, including verification of receipt & identification of non-receipt items on a timely basis, including coordination with purchasing and warehouse staff regarding non-receipt and assist with development & implementation of appropriate resolution. * Demonstrate the ability & skills to monitor, audit & enhance the quality of the supply chain process and resulting customer service, as well as demonstrate good judgement, solid decision making & time management skills & a high level of initiative. * Utilize appropriate communication in all interactions, demonstrating proper telephone and email etiquette. In this role, the successful Research Data Associate will support several projects relating to the impact that environmental factors have on children's health and development. Currently our team is working on studies requiring team members to collect, process, and store biological and medical history data for NYU Factors Influencing Reproductive Success and Time to pregnancy (NYU FIRST); NYU Children's Health & Environment Study (NYU CHES); Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO), NYU Pediatric Obesity, Metabolism and Kidney Cohort Center. This positions will support a growing program of work assisting mainly with day-to-day research activities and data collection. Job Responsibilities: * Obtain informed consent from study participants and carefully follow study protocols and scripts. * Communicate with research participants including but not limited to: scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments. * Collect biospecimen samples from research participants and safely transport the samples to the lab. * Obtain diet clinical data including: body measurements, DXA scans, and blood pressure measurements. * Administer additional study assessments like diet/physical activity questionnaires, chart abstraction, cord blood and delivery/postnatal EHR extraction, as well as anthropometric measurements. * Conduct follow-up calls with participants to ensure accurate data collection and assist with questionnaire data collection. Keep records of all interactions in our call center database in a comprehensible way. * Complete all necessary paperwork and data documentation, including but not limited to data collection, and documentation of specimen delivery and participant incentives. * Perform data entry and database management activities. * Support the study including but not limited to: creating electronic study forms, cleaning data, and generating reports to be used for participant scheduling and follow-up. * Ensure adequate stocking of supplies and report needs to supervisor. * Maintain a positive and accommodating relationship with study team and participants. * Evening and weekend hours and some travel required. * Other duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills. In this role, the successful Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director, Administrative Director, and Supervisors, performing diagnostic testing, therapeutic services, patient care, and education. They perform technical duties in conjunction with the operation and maintenance of polysomnographic equipment, including but not limited to acquisition, scoring, and report generation. Job Responsibilities: * Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. * Explains test procedures to the patient. Shows patient to room, orients the patient to the facility amenities, educates the patient on testing procedures, and completes patient registration using the electronic medical record system. * Explains the modality and function of positive air pressure treatment. Performs mask fittings, pressure acclimatization, and titrations on CPAP, BPAP, and ASV. * Performs nerve stimulator optimization studies. * Selects the appropriate equipment, calibrates for testing to determine proper functioning, and makes adjustments, if necessary. * Cleans equipment according to manufacturer and facility standards. Sets up equipment for next use. Replaces electrodes and sensors shown to be in disrepair. Maintains neat and organized workspaces. Notifies management of the need to repair or replace defective equipment and sensors. * Attempts troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions. Contacts appropriate vendor or MCIT support. Documents equipment malfunctions in log. * Alerts management to improperly functioning equipment or levels of supplies. * Measures patients and applies electrodes and sensors according to the 10-20 system and all applicable AASM and facility standards. * Stays alert and involved with recordings, recognizes any aberrant physiological activity and performs needed interventions in a timely manner. Notifies supervisor and/or physician, as indicated, to any patient health or practical concerns. Fully documents all aberrant activity. * Promptly answers patient calls for the restroom and other patient comfort care needs. Assists patient in unhooking the head box and ensuring patient can safely ambulate to the restroom, adjusting wires and room lighting, as required. * Maintains artifact-free bioelectric signals. Corrects artifact as needed by reapplying, repositioning, or replacing wires. * Performs required computer related procedures. Initiates biological recording. Initiates video recording. Monitors recording overnight, ensuring adequate recording quality. Manipulates the video focus and zoom to ensure the patients entire body are visible. Performs bio calibrations and impedance checks at the beginning and end of the recording. * Thoroughly documents patient status and activities in the study log as prompted, as clinically indicated, and in the patient summary. * Properly identifies studies that may need prioritized scoring interpretation due to the ordering providers requests and emergent conditions that arise during the study. Properly indicates prioritization in the study and notifies relevant scoring staff, management, fellows, and providers as needed. * Follows the AASM and facility procedural protocols for MSLT, MWT, PSG, PAP, HSAT, and Actigraphy studies as ordered. * Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform portable monitoring equipment preparation and data download. * Educates patients on the use of home sleep testing and actigraphy devices. Provides remote technical support to patients using the devices at home. * Obtains 10 sleep continuing education credits each year and completes required monthly interscorer reliability modules. * Scores sleep studies according to the AASM Scoring Manual and facility protocols. Generates the appropriate technical report. * Adheres to all Joint Commission and Facility Patient Safety Standards. * Maintains current BLS certifications, RPSGT, State License, and attends the annual mandatory CPR Drill. * Completes all hospital and departmental mandated ongoing training. * Stocks, organizes, and assists in maintaining inventory of clinical supplies. * Performs other duties, as assigned and as appropriate to shift workflow.
