The Sales Leader will work closely with our Senior VP of Commercial Lines and the Managing Director to drive new business growth and strengthen renewal retention. As a key member of the leadership team, this role contributes to the development and execution of both short- and long-term strategies and budgets aligned with corporate goals, acquisitions, and growth objectives. The Commercial Lines Sales Leader oversees that producers ensure customers' business plan objectives are supported by their insurance programs. In addition, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of that Department's personnel, products and production. How You Will Contribute Lead and support sales team, Producers, by evaluating progress, coaching, and mentoring with an unwavering commitment to revenue growth Develop and implement business strategies in collaboration with the Managing Director and manage strategic relationships with third parties Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities in partnership with the Managing Director, Marketing Leader, and other senior leaders. Build and maintain strong carrier relationships, conduct training (especially for new hires), and review production/loss ratios on a quarterly basis. Monitor and advise in the creation of Producer sales plans and assist with Producer renewal strategies Monitor for E&O risks, intervene as needed, and collaborate on incident and complaint responses. Actively participate in weekly CL and bi-weekly marketing meetings to report updates, share intelligence, and drive team engagement and morale. Stay informed on marketplace trends, legislative changes, and industry regulations; communicate relevant updates to customers and internal teams. Licenses and Certifications: Active Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines Licenses required Skills & Experience to Be Successful Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, or related discipline; equivalent work/education experience considered. 5+ years of insurance industry experience with in-depth knowledge of property & casualty coverage. Strong understanding of current legislation, rules, and regulatory requirements.
