    Job DescriptionBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Description: Join Cooper Equipment Rentals, a new division of Cooper Tacia General Contracting. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Field Service Mechanic to join our office in Sanford, NC. In this role you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other small tools and specialty items. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drive trains, and fuel systems on-site and in the field Oversee and conduct all scheduled and preventative maintenance on Cooper owned fleet Produce detailed and timely service reports and work orders Maintain an organized and safe working environment on-site and in the field Build positive and lasting relationships with customers Adhere to all company safety guidelines and protocols Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience as heavy construction technician or field service mechanic Must possess various tools needed for role Rental equipment background preferred Ability to operate various equipment including booms lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, skid steers and other construction-related equipment Strong understanding of telematics, diagnostic software, and equipment specific tools Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions systems Availability for after hours calls as needed Must maintain a well organized and clean service vehicle at all times Valid drivers license Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers Attention to detail with a strong safety mindset Advanced computer skills to properly document repairs and work orders Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries Employment Type: Full-time Salary: 30 33 an hour Benefits: 100% Employer Paid Health, Vision & Dental Insurance for employee PTO/ Paid Holidays 401K W/ 3% Match Continued Education as needed Application Process: All interested individuals must submit a resume and three references.
