Design Project Manager, Internal Design
In this role, you'll provide electrical distribution project management. Design and manage projects from creation to construction. You will serve as a primary liaison from first contact to final closing on projects. This position will focus on distribution pole replacements. Strong project management, problem solving, and customer care required. Prefer a candidate with mapping and asset management project software experience. Prefer candidates with working knowledge of pole loading analysis tools and NESC requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management - Manages multiple projects (e.g., streetlighting, single family, residential, ranch runner, pole replacement, minor maintenance and small road widening) of varying size and at varying steps within the project process; delivers project results that provide timely, effective, reliable and workable construction designs and customer connections.
Design Production - Conducts technical analyses and prepares complete designs using current design technology resources, including design software, drawings, material lists, design specifications, material specifications, corporate accounting, cost estimates, easements, permits, service requirements and line-extension agreements. Responsible for design decisions that reflect a cost-effective, reliable, safe, constructible/maintainable transmission and distribution system.
Project Execution - Accountable for ensuring all steps of the project process are completed, considering timeliness and responsiveness to internal or external customers; effectively prioritizes and balances multiple tasks and projects to meet customer expectations; interprets and coordinates work with other PGE departments to fulfill project requirements; generally works independently but receives some direct supervision. Fulfills project requirements consistent with company tariff, design standards, NESC requirements and applicable codes.
Customer Care - Serves as the primary point of contact on all assigned projects from first contact to final closing; consults with customers to identify requirements and translates them into design and service connection solutions consistent with tariff, company standards, requirements and applicable codes.
Leadership and Consultation - Responds to questions from stakeholders; may provide information to newer team members.
Education/Experience/Certifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering technology, computer-assisted design or other related field or equivalent experience.
Typically, one or more years in utility operations or a related field.
Requires a valid driver's license.

Compensation Range:

Description
The Engineering Technologist III or Senior Engineering Technologist is responsible for providing data and controls to the System Operators for situational awareness of the Bulk Power System through alarming and analog readings. In addition, the data provided assists field technicians and System Operators in identifying where faults are located as well as troubleshooting and mitigation of issues on the Bulk Power System.
This is the third (or fourth if Senior) level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification and considered the Career level for the job hierarchy. The Engineering Technologist III or Senior Engineering Technologist provide technical expertise to solve more complex problems, and leadership skills to manage work in a specific area of expertise, with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently with increased latitude for unreviewed work.
Responsibilities
Remote communication setup and maintenance of Transmission assets over IP and serial connectivity
Development of baselines and I/O summaries for existing and new substations according to Duke Energy Florida (DEF) standards and configuration templates.
Create RTU configurations and Point Assignment Sheet (PAS) with CONITEL protocol to support Analog communication system per DEF configuration and templates.
Creates RTU configurations and Point Assignments List and DNP mapping as per DEF Communication architecture standards for IP connectivity and networks.
Setup, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of systems.
Testing of equipment to ensure functionality with DEF system.
Developing solutions and mitigation plans during testing of new equipment and existing equipment installed on the DEF system.
Providing the appropriate information necessary to complete capital projects on time and accurate.
Assist in data retrieval for remotely connected devices.
Interface with Transmission Compliance Coordination to ensure Florida P&C Engineering documentation is accurate and implemented correctly.
Responsible for oversight on NERC-CIP v5 and IT 503, etc. as it pertains to P&C Engineering.

SUMMARY
This position performs service activities in the shop on customer and/or sales and rental fleet equipment. Provides technical support, repair procedures and process to shop technicians, provide on the job training for other shop technicians. Acts as Service Supervisor back-up. Facilitates completion of large and complex projects in the shop.

Open and Close all shop work orders with-in 7 days from LDL.

Track large or special customer jobs through repair process to insure they are completed in a timely manner, parts are ordered properly, repairs are done accurately, and safe.
Responsible to keep service manager informed and updated on daily shop operations and possible problem situations, including any redo.

Assist parts, service, and engine sales personnel in preparation of job quotes.

Job Summary
The Senior Engineering Technologist position is the fourth level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role. Patrols high MAIFI feeders and CEMI devices to identify potential projects for the capital workplan
Logs hydraulic recloser counter readings on “hot spot” feeders and trouble areas; follows up with further patrol and capital projects as necessary based on readings
Participates in crew meetings periodically to educate on “hot spots” and gather information on repeat outages; Establishes contact point with C&M
Identifies future projects that feed into the capital workplan
Provides insight / calculations on secondary drops and transformer sizing causing PQ issues to a customer
Completes EMF review and analysis
Completes RFI review and analysis
Designs work to be completed to mitigate issues found in the field
Acts as central point of contact and owner of any Reliability or power quality issues in the specified geographical area
Responsible for all customer communication for PQ issues, Executive and PSC Complaints, and LAM requests
Creates tickets for any issues that come in through email so all items can be tracked

Responsibilities
* Performs feeder patrols for reliability issues
* Determines when RVMs need to be set, Sets and removes RVM's
* Analyzes and interprets data from RVM's, determines corrective action
* Provides details on PQ issue to analyst for communication to customer, including pictures as necessary
* Patrols high MAIFI feeders and CEMI devices to identify potential projects for the capital workplan
* Logs hydraulic recloser counter readings on "hot spot" feeders and trouble areas; follows up with further patrol and capital projects as necessary based on readings
* Participates in crew meetings periodically to educate on "hot spots" and gather information on repeat outages; Establishes contact point with C&M
* Identifies future projects that feed into the capital workplan
* Provides insight / calculations on secondary drops and transformer sizing causing PQ issues to a customer
* Completes EMF review and analysis
* Completes RFI review and analysis
* Designs work to be completed to mitigate issues found in the field
* Acts as central point of contact and owner of any Reliability or power quality issues in the specified geographical area
* Responsible for all customer communication for PQ issues, Executive and PSC Complaints, and LAM requests
* Creates tickets for any issues that come in through email so all items can be tracked
