This position is hybrid - Tuesday - Thursday in the New York Office and Monday and Friday work from home. As a member of the Testing and Monitoring Unit within New York Life's Corporate Compliance Department, you will contribute to the compliance oversight, corporate governance, examination readiness, and policy development for the Company's Foundational Business product lines to ensure compliance with FINRA Rules 3120/3130, SEC Rules 38a-1 and 206(4)-7, and the NAIC Suitability in Annuity Transactions Model Regulation 275. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate and implement risk-based frameworks that align with evolving regulatory expectations.
What You'll Do:
* Execute compliance testing programs, ensuring robust supervisory controls and adherence to regulatory requirements;
* Contribute to the timely preparation of annual Board reports for NYLIFE Securities LLC (affiliated broker-dealer) and Eagle Strategies LLC (affiliated registered investment adviser) as well as the annual NAIC Model Regulation report - highlighting key compliance testing results, identified risks, and remediation efforts;
* Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of field-facing policies and procedures that strengthen supervisory oversight and ensure operational alignment with the Company's compliance framework;
* Support the cultural transformation toward the use of approved electronic communications tools, driving awareness and regulatory compliance while minimizing exposure to regulatory scrutiny;
* Partner with key stakeholders to provide compliance support in furtherance of business objectives;
* Proactively identify and resolve compliance issues that may arise during daily activities

Overview of Role:
The Client Reporting and Performance Associate will play a key role in preparing New York Life General Account reports (ad-hoc, daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date) and conducting reviews before reports are released to key stakeholders across the company. This role is ideal for a technically savvy individual who enjoys researching issues, improving processes, and leveraging data visualization tools, particularly Tableau to elevate reporting quality and efficiency.
What You'll Do:
* Prepare, review, and distribute comprehensive client reports for the New York Life General Account and its clients. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to reporting standards.

Deputy Portfolio Manager will be a key member of the CMBS and Capital Markets group. The role focuses on CMBS investing, capital markets structuring, and platform development within a growing institutional real estate investment platform. This professional will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and execute investment opportunities, manage surveillance and reporting, and expand NYLREI's capabilities in structured real estate debt investments.
What You'll Do:
The key responsibilities for the role will be as follows:
* Researching, analyzing and recommending all types of CMBS investments in a team environment with a primary focus on SASB CMBS. The role involves the analysis of loan and deal structures, cash flow modeling, review of offering documents and related information, and independent research while interacting with other NYLREI team members to achieve investment goals.
* Collaborating with NYLREI's commercial mortgage debt platform to generate investment opportunities in SASB CMBS. This entails managing the securitization of NYLREI-originated commercial mortgage loans where NYLI retains the subordinate tranches, including the control-eligible class(es). It also includes the purchase of control-eligible SASB classes in primary market CMBS offerings.
* Conduct portfolio surveillance and coordinate investment reporting to internal and external constituents. Coordinate with team members to address credit concerns and supervise periodic surveillance reporting. Consult with CMBS loan servicers in managing the resolution of specially serviced SASB CMBS.
* Assist in developing and executing capital markets financing solutions for NYLREI's structured debt platform. Identify and execute financing solutions for individual loans as well as term lending facilities for the platform. The ability to develop and retain key bank and other lender relationships is required.
* Collaborate with NYLREI's business development team to expand NYLREI's external asset management platform. Successfully fulfill existing CMBS asset management mandates and develop new asset management initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, MFE or equivalent) is a plus.
* Minimum of 10 years of real estate investment experience, with 5+ years focused on underwriting or directly analyzing debt or equity real estate transactions. Relevant experience may include roles originating debt or equity investments, warehouse lending, CRE credit risk, or as a rating agency analyst. CRE credit training is a plus.
* Rapidly developing expertise in AI prompting and utilization.
* Experience with real estate analytics tools (e.g., Trepp, Intex, Bloomberg).

Core Responsibilities:
* Oversee limited partnership fund investments in US and EU private leveraged buy-out, secondary, distressed, venture, infrastructure, and credit funds including document review and negotiation of side letters with sponsors.
* Review and advise the investment team on amendment and consent requests for investments.
* Lead non-control equity co-investments in sponsor backed portfolio companies.
* Review, draft and negotiate private fund vendor agreements and placement agent agreements.
* Create and update manager obligations playbooks and fact sheets for Apogem proprietary funds.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager / Scrum Master to support the Retail Annuities & Third-Party Distribution (TPD) release train within the Product Solutions value stream-part of New York Life's Foundational Business.

Private Markets Operations Specialist

$68,000.00 - $113,000.00 Pay Rate Type: Salary Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Working within the Private Markets Operations team, the Private Markets Operations Specialist supports the investment activities of the Private Markets front office which include private equity funds, real asset funds, private credit funds, co-investments, commercial mortgage loans, and private placement notes. You will have experience supporting the technology, data management, performance measurement, transaction monitoring, closing, and risk management activities for private markets investments. You will report to the Senior Manager, Private Market Operations.
You will be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid (if based in Madison, WI) work arrangement based on your location.

Primary Accountabilities:
* You will analyze and report the risk and return of private markets investments.
* You will be a technical liaison to internal and external parties regarding private markets technologies, processes, reporting, and operations.
* You will be the relationship point of contact for external private markets technology and operations vendors.
* You will help train new private markets operations employees.
* You will assist private markets operations initiatives including, but not limited to: assessment, analysis, and implementation of new technology systems and procedures.
* You will ensure reliability and accuracy of private markets processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of investment operations and procedures.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of investment information systems, reporting, and data management.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of investment data analysis, performance measurement, and modeling.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of private markets terminology and concepts.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
* Strong project management skills.
This role is eligible for a significant variable compensation plan.

What You'll Do:
Join New York Life's Financial Products, Planning & Strategy pathway and gain hands-on experience learning how financial solutions are developed, analyzed, and managed across a Fortune 100 company. Interns in this pathway are placed on a team within one of several departments, based on business need. The Retirement Plan Counselor is responsible for delivering on-site and virtual education and enrollment presentations to new and existing defined contribution 401(k)/(a), 403(b), and/or Government 457 plan participants across all plan sizes. What you will do

Base Salary Range
