He has earned the designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP).Mr. Clouser has practiced law for more than two decades with leading law firms and major insurance and financial services companies, with expertise in risk management, compliance, corporate governance, M&A, commercial contracts, privacy/information security, employment, reinsurance, securities, litigation, and regulatory matters in the insurance and financial services industries. Before joining Allied in 2013, he served as assistant general counsel for Kemper Corporation and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where he handled a wide range of legal, transactional, and regulatory insurance and financial services matters. Mr. Clouser began his legal career at Latham & Watkins, a global law firm based in Los Angeles where he handled securities and transactional matters. He went on to build a successful sports agency practice where he represented numerous National Football League players in contract negotiations with NFL teams. He was recognized and quoted in the Wall Street Journal as one of the top NFL player contract negotiators by negotiating record setting deals for his NFL clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from William & Mary where he was selected to the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society for his academic achievements. Mr. Clouser also received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida where he earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors and served as the Managing Editor of the Law Review.
