As the Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Ops Support & Special Projects and is based out of our Anoka, MN office. What you'll do: Assist with time studies, data collection, and statistical analysis to identify process improvement opportunities Support Kaizen events, 5S activities, and other Lean initiatives Participate in value stream mapping and process documentation Help prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations Collaborate with CI engineers and specialists on improvement projects Observe and learn Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC) and Lean tools in practice Hands-on experience with process improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment Other duties as assigned Experience you bring: Currently pursuing a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints concepts Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) is a plus You might have: Coursework or projects involving Lean/Six Sigma Experience with CAD or 3D printing Familiarity with root cause problem-solving techniques Additional Information: Shift: Monday-Friday (8-9 hour) days Summer Internship: May-August Got questions? Pay Range: Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $26.00 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
