Job Description:
Quality and Reliability students will be involved in various aspects of the roles at Allison Transmission, Inc. Key learning and development areas of quality with respect to warranty & issues tools development, structured problem solving techniques, data analysis, quality audits, and commercial industry customer quality expectations. Student will work closely with their assigned supervisor and complete a specific quality project during the assignment.
Qualifications and Experience:
No experience requirement - current enrollment in a 4-year engineering program with 3.0 GPA or higher

Summary:
The Business System Analyst Intern will report into the IS&S Program/Project Management Office. The candidate will assist the on successful project delivery and departmental efforts including supporting the Project management Office in administrative activities, utilization of project management tools, business requirement collection, project reporting, system support, resource, and meeting planning. The Business System Analyst intern position allows a student the opportunity to practice business analysis skills at enterprise level.
Responsibilities:

Summary:

Who we are looking for:
Currently enrolled as a full-time college student, having completed at least two years of coursework.
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**The Role:**
We are seeking Electrical Engineer Co-ops to do hands-on work that would potentially add directly to the bottom line of our culture and our company. You will have many responsibilities and accountabilities like control systems engineering and electrical support for programs. You will learn how to lead electrical projects for several different areas of the plant including operations improvements, new and replacement programs. This is a hands-on position in which you may work with periodic repairs and to provide technical support and direction to support personnel/skilled trades.

+ Investigates system and equipment problems and provides technical guidance in problem resolution
+ Conducts machine failure root cause analysis and problem solving
+ Utilizes statistical methods for continuous improvement on plant systems
+ Analyzes product, process and technology to figure out best methods of manufacture
+ Develops cost estimates, investment forecasts, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for minor project activity
+ Develops and supervises planning timetables and projects schedules
+ Coordinates with area manufacturing engineers on process and equipment planning, including model change, throughput, sourcing, etc.
+ Supports GMS and Quality Network implementation initiatives
+ Programming of manufacturing technology (PLC, HMI, Robotics, etc.)
+ Assists maintenance personnel in operation and maintenance of niche equipment
