Administers the sterilization process and oversees the coordination, maintenance, and storage of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment to support adequate inventory levels.

Maintain departmental files, records, and databases. Enter information from source documents into computer databases and/or spreadsheets, compiling, printing, and distributing periodic reports, mailing labels, and other information as needed. Maintain department/office library of reference books, journals, slides, films, and other materials.

ECMO Specialist I ($20,000 Sign On Bonus)

The ECMO Specialist is enrolled and actively participating in the department's ECMO Training Program. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the skills necessary to proficiently and safely establish, manage, and control extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) technology and assist with associated procedures in acutely ill patients of all ages in critical care settings. The specialist will learn to troubleshoot devices and associated equipment under the supervision of experienced ECMO personnel, provide ongoing care through surveillance of clinical and physiologic parameters, adjust ECLS devices as needed, administer and document blood products and medications in accordance with hospital standards, provide airway and ventilator management, and perform the full scope of practice of a Respiratory Therapist II.
Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary
We are looking for a high-energy, driven, customer-service focused Senior Grant Administrator/Consultant to join the BWH Department of Medicine team. The Department of Medicine (DOM) is the largest recipient of sponsored funding of any Harvard Medical School department and continues to break new ground in biomedical research. The department's research community consists of more than 400 research faculty and more than 400 research fellows. Currently, the Department averages $450MM per year in total research expenditures and approximately 1,800 sponsored research proposals per year.
Reporting to and working closely with the Research Administrative Manager, the Senior Grant Administrator/Consultant will provide expert research administration support to the 21 divisions within the Department of Medicine (DOM). As a consultant, he/she will play a key role in the coordination of research activities including special projects, oversight of complex programs or filling short-term vacancies. The Senior Grant Administrator/Consultant will provide exceptional customer service to the division's investigators and collaborators. The individual may be the primary point of contact for Principal Investigators and Department Administrators or may work alongside other grant administrator/consultants.
The consulting position is assignment-based and the individual may be engaged in multiple projects in multiple divisions simultaneously. When not engaged in research management activities within the divisions, the Grant Administrator will provide support for DOM central administration activities as detailed below.
Qualifications
Consultation with DOM Divisions:
1. Oversee all budgetary and administrative aspects of the grant application progress, including development of study budgets for sponsored research and associated funds in accordance with sponsor fiscal policies and procedures as well as revisions of post-award budgets as needed
2. Serve as primary contact for collaborating sites regarding development of budgets and work with Partners Research Management to ensure that subcontract awards are processed in a timely manner
3. Monitor project expenditures, including monthly assessments of fund activity thereby preventing overruns; make recommendations of actions as necessary; prepare and maintain financial reports on an ongoing basis
4. Serves as liaison to Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing and other Hospital departments. Works with outside vendors to obtain products and services necessary to the operation of the Division. Interacts extensively with Research Administration to ensure compliance with all Hospital, government (NIH) and funding agency policies.
5. Perform financial analysis and forecasting, both short-term and long-term
6. Advise regarding the allowability of costs to be charged to a grant; work with Research Finance to resolve complex accounting issues
7. Guide fellows and younger investigators through the grant application and renewal processes
8. Understand and conform with the administrative, budgetary, and financial compliance regulations of all sponsors as well as with Partners fiscal policy; stay current and up-to-date on all policy changes
9. Collaborate with Principal Investigators and Project Managers on annual NIH/foundation progress reports
10. Provide timely closeout of all expired projects through the coordination of fiscal and administrative resources throughout the system
11. Review and distribute effort reports
12. Train new research administrators.
Education
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of related experience, experience with NIH grant requirements preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Scheduling Activities
Answers phones and handles calls in a professional and timely manner
Maintains positive interactions at all times with patients, referring offices and team members
Schedules patient examinations according to existing company policy
Ensures all appropriate personal, financial and insurance information is obtained and recorded accurately
Ensures all patient data is entered into information systems completely and accurately
Ensures patients are advised of financial responsibilities, appropriate clothing, preparation kits, transportation and/or eating prior to appointment
Communicates to technologists any scheduling changes in order to ensure highest level of patient satisfaction
Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians
Handles overflow calls for other centers within market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling for referring offices
Provides back up coverage for front office team members as requested by supervisor (i.e., rest breaks, meal breaks, vacations and sick leave)
Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate department or associate (St. Louis Park only

Pre-certifies all exams with patient's insurance company as required
Verifies insurance for same day add-ons
Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment

Job Summary
The Division Chief is responsible for the academic, clinical, and research performance and productivity of their division. The job responsibilities include academic oversight of the malignant hematology faculty, clinical oversight of the malignant hematology division, mentorship/education, and recruitment of new faculty into the division. The Division Chief reports to the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Cancer Physician in Chief and is an integral member of the MGB Cancer Institute leadership team. They will work with the Vice Chair(s) of Research, Faculty Affairs, Operations, Quality/Ethics, and Education to develop the best Malignant Hematology program in the world.
Qualifications
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Academic and Research
Collaborate with the Mass General Brigham Cancer Physician in Chief to develop an academic vision for the malignant hematology programs.
Develop a robust research portfolio inclusive of clinical trials, outcomes research, translational research, and laboratory research.
- Recruit and mentor laboratory research faculty in collaboration with the Scientific Director for MGBCI and MGBCI research leaders
- Interact with faculty within the Krantz Family Center for Cancer Research, and other BWH (Brigham and Women s Hospital) and MGB laboratories to develop laboratory and translational research that furthers the understanding and management of diseases within Malignant Hematology.
- Recruit and mentor clinical and health services and outcomes research faculty within the Division.
- Develop a robust portfolio of clinical trials with emphasis on innovative phase I/II trials and groundbreaking research. In collaboration with the Vice Chair for Clinical Research, have oversight of the clinical trials protocol office budget for the division and work with the Cancer Center Protocol Office staff to conduct clinical research.
Oversee the sundry funds associated with the Division and develop a philanthropic strategy with MGB Development.
Build a robust grant portfolio (K and R awards) for appropriate members of the faculty in the division including team-based funding, e.g., P01s, U01s.
Clinical
Represent the Malignant Hematology Division within Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute and be responsible for the Malignant Hematology service line at the AMCs, community hospitals, and ambulatory clinics. Resolve clinical research issues that arise in the division including protocol-specific issues and research conduct issues.
Partner with the disease program and clinical directors to manage the division in a manner that is consistent with the academic vision.
Work with the MGB Physician in Chief and the VC of Quality/Equity to resolve professional misconduct issues that arise in their division.
Develop a Division with comprehensive expertise in all clinical conditions treated by the division.
Participate in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and space planning initiatives.
Collaborate with MGBCI leadership to develop a fair, equitable, transparent and iterative compensation plan for the Division.
Mentorship/Education
Mentor faculty within the division as they develop an academic career.
Partner with the VC of Faculty Affairs to ensure that each member of the division reaches their fullest potential as an academic physician.
Work with individual faculty members on their promotion including helping them to develop a national/international reputation in their field of research .
Train fellows in the division and help them develop academic and clinical expertise. The Division Chief will also be responsible in conjunction with the program directors for helping fellows obtain junior faculty positions at MGB or other academic institutions.
Ensure and equitable and inclusive workplace.
Recruitment
Work with the MGB Cancer Physician in Chief to identify areas of need within the division and strategically recruit faculty to meet those areas.
Oversee the recruitment of academic faculty to the division including chairing any search committees necessary for recruitment and the associated administrative responsibilities.
Collaborate with affiliated departments and divisions within MGB to recruit physicians associated with their division.
Provide sundry support and resources for start-up or lab packages.
Focus on hiring diverse faculty and URMs.
Philanthropy
Responsible for stewarding major gift and foundation donors.
Develop a case statement for Program priorities.
Work collaboratively with Development officer.
Steward and oversee sundry fund usage and allocation for Program priorities.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
M.D. degree; board certification in Medicine
Demonstrated clinical, research, and leadership accomplishments and a strong reputation in the field of hematology oncology
Minimum of five years of clinical practice in hematology oncology
Effective organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities
The Bioinformatician II will report to CCG's Lead Informaticist and have the main responsibility of independently performing data analysis on a wide array of cancer multiomics projects (sc/sn RNAseq, sc ATACseq, Crispr screens, SNV/CNV, longread Oxford Nanopore Direct RNA sequencing, etc.) in consultation and collaboration with internal Dana-Farber research collaborators and external research partners. Some limited orchestration of automated pipelines may be required as necessary. The Bioinformatician II will have no direct reports. Dana-Farber has a wealth of local, on-premises, and cloud-based computing resources available to extensively explore the large body of data generated annually by Dana-Farber researchers and collaborators. Given these resources, the development of novel computational methods is strongly encouraged.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required in a STEM field. Master's degree or PhD strongly preferred in bioinformatics, medical informatics, computational biology, statistics, computer science/engineering, or a related quantitative field.
