Allseas’ founder Edward Heerema was installed as Fellow Chartered Engineer on 12 April 2016 by The Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI).
A criminal trial in the UK in 2016 revealed that Allseas were victims of a multi-million pound fraud.
Allseas orders a new 5000 t special purpose crane for Pioneering Spirit, to be installed in the second half of 2018.
However, in July 2020, Allseas announced that it would suspend the project indefinitely.
