Company vehicle provided. * The Director of Sales - Property & Casualty Insurance (DOS) leads, trains, motivates, and supports a team of Account Executives (AE). * The DOS develops or enables the development of new and expanding business opportunities. * The DOS is responsible for the acquisition of new accounts as well as the retention and service to existing accounts. * The DOS will facilitate the integration of AE's into a sales operating area for all the P&C products. * The DOS must manage the overall aggregate and individual AE production based upon our acquisition model and the use of our business planning processes and tools. * Additional responsibilities include handling special projects, such as assisting the National Accounts prospecting efforts or working cross functionally to support the Ally brand growth. **The Work Itself** * Manage the activities of the Sales team within assigned area, providing support and guidance as needed. * Supervise, train, evaluate and provide ongoing professional development to staff and maintain superior product knowledge and provide training to Sales team on P&C product-related topics and industry trends. * Co-travel with assigned producers on a regular basis and attend important meetings and symposiums with sales personnel, deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. * Work collaboratively with Ally Insurance account teams including the Sales teams, Director of Sales, Senior Director of Sales (SDOS), and all other Ally field personnel in identifying new customers, conquesting new business and strategically managing the sales opportunity pipeline. * Coordinate sales activities with all Ally Insurance channel partners and ensure recording and reporting of sales results are completed. * Participates at account planning meetings and Area Sales meetings as appropriate. * Maintain superior product knowledge and awareness of competitive property & casualty plans and sales procedures. * Produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis of region and assigned Sales team. * Utilize Salesforce reports to track sales plans and continuously review all sales activities, targets, and strategies in order to maximize results. * Monitor and analyze results to identify significant trends impacting goal achievement and then implement the appropriate corrective actions. * Participate in the sale of P&C products as required. Actively apply Situational Leadership in coaching. **The Skills You Bring** * 7+ years of experience required. * Automotive retail, insurance, banking, and/or financial services experience required. * Property & Casualty insurance required. * Property and Casualty producer license required; if not currently licensed, Ally will provide training and licensing within 3 months of hire as required for the role. Ally will facilitate non-resident licensing in remaining 50 U.S. jurisdictions. * High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
