    ALMACO in Nevada, IA is seeking a Financial Director to join the Accounting team. This role manages the full accounting cycle, leads budgeting and forecasting, improves financial processes, and acts as a strategic partner with leadership. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, capable of working in the day-to-day while also shaping the financial direction of the business. The Financial Director position at ALMACO is a full-time exempt position. What You'll Do: The Financial Director will support our 4-person accounting team by overseeing all daily operations, owning the monthly close process, preparing accurate financial statements, managing cash flow, and providing data-driven insights to leadership. Key responsibilities include: * Accounting Leadership and Financial Reporting * Forecasts cash needs weekly including working capital, capital expenditures, and liquidity risks. * Oversees daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close. * Manages all tax-related activities. * Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting * Builds and maintains financial models and manages annual capital spending. * Leads the annual budgeting process. * Reporting and Data Analysis * Develops rolling forecasts for revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability. * Prepares monthly forecast-vs-actual reports with clear explanations and insights. * Develops dashboards and KPI reporting to improve visibility into business performance. * Operational Finance and Business Partnership * Collaborates with business leaders to translate business drivers into financial impacts. * Supports pricing decisions, margin analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations. * Acts as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. * Continuously improves department workflow, processes, and internal controls. Focus for this position: * Develop and maintain a consistently repeatable, predictable month-end close process. * Provide clear visibility into cash flow, profitability, and performance by business unit. * Provide models and insights to enable leadership confidence in the accuracy, timelines, and assumptions underlying the business forecast. * Document the current state of monthly close, forecast accuracy, financial statement accuracy, and timelines of tax filings and identify future goals and achievable timelines for improvement. * Implement new financial tools and automation. Qualifications for this position: * A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred. * 7-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. * Advanced Excel skills (including use of pivot tables, Power Query, macros, and modeling) and Microsoft Office skills are required. Experience with ERP systems is required. Experience with BI tools is preferred. * Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities. * Ability to lead and mentor accounting team. * Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.     Summary: The Demountables Design Engineer designs, tests, and documents components and assemblies used in Stellar Industries products. The Design Engineer takes cost, material availability, strength, ease of use and maintenance, manufacturability, and appearance into account when producing concepts and designs for use. This position applies knowledge of mechanical systems and components to support the functional and physical requirements of all Stellar Industries vehicle mounted demountable equipment, including various hooklifts, roll-offs, container trucks, and associated accessories. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following: • Perform design calculations and prepare equipment and/or material specifications. • Produce concept and final designs in 3D CAD and draft those designs in 2D for manufacturing use. • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on structural designs. • Coordinate work with other Engineers or Engineering Technicians. • Design and coordinate testing of designs to validate functionality and safety of concepts. • Compile data and prepare reports related to research and testing of new and existing products. • Provide design support for Manufacturing as needed. • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required. • Follow all safety rules as laid out in the company employee handbook and other supplemental safety training. Continuously promote a culture of working safety. • Perform other duties as assigned. General Competencies and Skills: • General knowledge of Microsoft 365 products with proficiency in Word and Excel. • Capable of reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings and other technical documents. • Familiar with structural welding and weld symbols. • Knowledge of ASME GD&T standards and their application. • Ability to effectively communicate through written and oral means. • Analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. • Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems associated with the automotive and work truck industry preferred. • Ability to measure physical components accurately using machine tools. • Familiarity with FEA software and interpretation of simulation results. • Strong applied mathematics skills, including physics, trigonometry, and statistics. • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D design software required. AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred. • Knowledge of ERP software and associated systems preferred. • Be willing to work both independently and in a team environment. Education and Experience: • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • Three to Five years of experience in Engineering or related field. Physical Requirements: • Regular standing, walking, and use of hands to feel or handle objects, tools, and controls. • Frequent verbal communication required. • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 40lbs. • May be required to work indoors in a shop environment or outside in variable weather conditions. Most objects being lift will be lifted approximately from floor to waist. (38”) Candidate must be able to reach/grab parts up to 10lbs. Some functions may include climbing ladders. Appx 5'.
