Aloha Care company history timeline
AlohaCare is a community-led, non-profit health plan founded in 1994 by Hawai`i’s community health centers and is the only health plan solely dedicated to serving those eligible for Hawai`i's QUEST Integration (Medicaid) and Medicare program.
In 1996, McComas became the CEO of AlohaCare, a non-profit health plan founded by Hawaiʻi’s community health centers.
In 2000, the Aloha Social Services Bangladesh medical clinic was started in Bangladesh.
A joint project in 2007 with the Polynesian Voyaging Society led to medical clinics held on Yap, Ponap (Pohnpei), Satowan, and Chuuk.
Our project, Kōkua me ka Laulima: Help With Many Hands, was initiated in August 2010.
He retired as president and CEO in 2017.
