Responsibilities
Work in a Progressive Care Unit within a Level I or II trauma hospital
Care for post-cardiac and post-vascular surgery patients
Patient ratios typically 1:3-5, adjusted based on acuity
Required to float to Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU units as needed within the hospital or affiliate hospitals
Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 to 19:30
Every other weekend shift required and possible consecutive weekends depending on operational need
Uses Cerner EMR system; Cerner charting experience required
May be assigned charge nurse duties with training provided based on unit needs
Refusal to float may result in termination of contract
