About the Role
As the Registered Dietitian at Alsana, you will be responsible for providing nutrition therapy to clients of all genders with eating disorders and co-existing medical conditions and psychiatric diagnoses. You will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) with the client, their support team (therapist, psychiatrist, physician, family/friends) to provide the most effective and efficient care possible.
Responsibilities
Completes the initial and weekly client nutritional assessments, creates therapeutic and individualized client meal plans, and conducts individual and group sessions with client based on level of care.
Works closely with chefs to aid with education and meal plan accuracy for clients.
Leads regular nutrition psycho-education groups focusing on the Alsana nutrition philosophy of balancing nourishment and pleasure to help clients restore a positive relationship with both food and body.
Manages movement activities according to programming, under the direction of the lead RD, and provides each client with individualized movement goals, adapted weekly.
Provides guidance and assists clients with real-life nutrition tasks such as meal planning, grocery shopping menu ordering, kitchen skills, and cooking.
Provides regular weekly email updates to client's outpatient referral treatment team.
Supports the culinary team in developing quality measures for food served, striving for 90% excellent ratings in food-related perception of care surveys.
Actively engages in on-going education related to nutrition therapy for the eating disorder population.
Assumes other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services, nursing, program director, or lead RD.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
1+ years' experience working as a Registered Dietitian; ideally with eating disorder clients, preferred.
Experience working as an active member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Strong interest in eating disorder or behavioral health nutrition care.
Pay range:
$80,000.00 plus sign-on bonus

What You'll Do:
At Alsana, we are a community of hope and healing. As a Care Counselor, you'll play a vital hands-on role in supporting our clients on their recovery journey. You'll work alongside therapists, dietitians, nurses, and other care professionals to help implement treatment plans and create a safe, encouraging environment where clients can grow.

Documents client progress per procedure.
Assists with basic first aid as directed by RN/LVN staff and follows all appropriate documentation protocols.
Ensures documentation reflects changes in client condition; notifies nursing and interdisciplinary team as required.
Provides 1:1 assistance to clients in crisis per their care plan and staff direction.
Supports nutritional needs as outlined by the nutritionist and treatment plan.
Eats meals and snacks with clients as part of modeling and recovery support.
Communicates with clients and their families respectfully and clearly; involves licensed staff as needed.
Drives clients in a company vehicle to outings, appointments, and errands.
Maintains and communicates client level system; informs licensed staff of related concerns.
Leads or co-leads therapeutic groups for residential, PHP, or IOP clients, including evening and weekend rotations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
1 year of exp in behavioral health
Current, valid, and unencumbered state-specific driver's license
Adult CPR/AED certification (preferably through American Heart Association), or ability to obtain within 30 days
ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
Able to participate in basic daily tasks and light recreational activities

How youll serve our patients
The Dietary Assistant works alongside the dietary department by supporting patients with their dietary needs, completing food-related projects, providing administrative support to dietitians, supervising patients at meals and snacks, supporting dietitians with running groups and meals, and maintaining menus as directed.
You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:
* Distributes, collects and corrects patient menus weekly. Updates patient menus and meal plans as directed by Clinical Dietitians.

What You'll Do:
As a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will provide consultation, case management and therapy on complex cases to individuals who have and are affected by serious eating disorders. You will assess clients, determine referral needs, provide group therapy, family therapy and group education and formulate and implement treatment plans.
Performs, interprets, and provides feedback to clients on various assessments relevant to eating disorder treatment (e.g., psychosocial assessment, suicide risk assessment, core assessment packet)
Provides individual therapy sessions for clients, utilizing appropriate interventions adapted to the needs of the client.
Completes appropriate and thorough documentation within established time frames, including progress notes for individual and family sessions, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Communicates with outpatient team to provide updates on client progress and to provide continuity of care.
Attends weekly training and individual/group supervisions as assigned.
Assists direct care in providing observations for clients, managing milieu conflict, and supporting clients.
Participates in meals and snacks with clients as assigned.
Provides crisis stabilization for clients in the milieu who may become de-escalated at times.
Provides “check-ins” with clients as needed based on the needs of the client and the appropriateness of the check-in.
Provides “on-call” coverage during assigned times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline (ALC, PLPC, LMSW, LCSW, ACSW, LPC, PhD, LMFT, AMFT)
Two years' recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Eligible for registration with relevant professional association
Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts such as Mental Health Act, Freedom of Information Act, pertinent regulations, policies and procedures, and other statutory duties

As a Group Facilitator you will have the opportunity provide therapeutic treatment, You will do this through facilitating scheduled groups and documenting the sessions in our EMR. While in this position, you shall maintain all applicable licenses and certification requirements and at-all-times during the term of this Agreement, meet all requirements of the facility or other regulatory entity for such licensing, certification or credentialing.
Essential Job Functions:
* Collaborates with Clinical Director and/or Program Director and other professional staff to help develop comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation and treatment.
* Responsible for delivering appropriate topic to scheduled groups.
* Responsible for completing all group notes immediately after leading each group.
* Document all services provided in clients medical record.
* Knowledge of company's policy and procedures, DMHAS and Joint Commission standards and regulations. Adhere to all regulations and maintain accurate and timely client charting in compliance and according to the clinical guidelines.
* Periodically participates in staff meeting, providing training with regard to therapeutic services and, mental health topics.

* Able to check in with patients and provide appropriate observations AEB line of sight, 1:1 safety observation when indicated, bathroom observations when indicated, and check in with patients that show rapport has been built.
