The Role
As a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will provide consultation, case management and therapy on complex cases to individuals who have and are affected by serious eating disorders. You will assess clients, determine referral needs, provide group therapy, family therapy and group education and formulate and implement treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Performs, interprets, and provides feedback to clients on various assessments relevant to eating disorder treatment (e.g., psychosocial assessment, suicide risk assessment, core assessment packet)
Provides individual therapy sessions for clients, utilizing appropriate interventions adapted to the needs of the client.
Completes appropriate and thorough documentation within established time frames, including progress notes for individual and family sessions, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Communicates with outpatient team to provide updates on client progress and to provide continuity of care.
Attends weekly training and individual/group supervisions as assigned.
Assists direct care in providing observations for clients, managing milieu conflict, and supporting clients.
Participates in meals and snacks with clients as assigned.
Provides crisis stabilization for clients in the milieu who may become de-escalated at times.
Provides “check-ins” with clients as needed based on the needs of the client and the appropriateness of the check-in.
Provides “on-call” coverage during assigned times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline (ALC, LCSW, LPC, PhD)
Two years' recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Eligible for registration with relevant professional association
Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts such as Mental Health Act, Freedom of Information Act, pertinent regulations, policies and procedures, and other statutory duties

Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking independently licensed 1099 therapists to provide virtual therapy to college students. This is a fully remote position within the US. We are eager to welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who share our commitment to making mental health care accessible and affordable for students across the United States.

Work Weeks And Hours:
At least 8 hrs per week of availability (on average) during the academic year

$95 per intake session completed (60-minute)
$80 per follow up session completed (45-minute)

As a Mantra Licensed Therapist, You Will:
Deliver high-quality, meaningful virtual therapy using evidence-based interventions such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc.
Utilize our advanced collaboration portal to connect with students, providing them with the support they need.
Work closely with campus treatment providers, supervisors, and peers to ensure cohesive care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology.

JOB PURPOSE:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct strength-based, culturally competent therapeutic services, consisting of individual, family and/or group therapy as well as individualized intakes and/or other assessments as appropriate.
Provide services to all age levels as assigned (0-5; child/adolescent and adult), in the office, school or in the field, consistent with contractual, programmatic and clinical requirements.
Schedule clients according to client need and client availability. Be available for evening appointments if clinically indicated.
Provide or link client to case management services as clinically appropriate. Provide targeted case management and rehabilitation services to clients and caregivers. What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Master's degree or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university
Four (4) years direct service experience with the mentally ill, preferably adults, and
Two (2) years supervising direct care staff, in a health care setting preferred.
California BBS licensed as a LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D required.
Two (2) years LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D post-licensure preferred.
Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy.
CPR certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
This position conducts oversight of the programming and service delivery; conducts staff supervision; acts as a resource for therapists in the delivery of therapeutic services; performs diagnostic evaluations; and develops treatment plans. Supports data collection and CQI efforts; maintains liaison with the County. The Clinical Supervisor shall be on the premises the number of hours necessary to manage and administer the program component of the facility in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Designed for adults with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment.
24/7 programs as an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization.
Individuals can live on-site in a homelike setting for a short term while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills.
Able to receive physical and psychological evaluation, mental health, and case management services, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing.

The Role
As a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will provide consultation, case management and therapy on complex cases to individuals who have and are affected by serious eating disorders. You will assess clients, determine referral needs, provide group therapy, family therapy and group education and formulate and implement treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Performs, interprets, and provides feedback to clients on various assessments relevant to eating disorder treatment (e.g., psychosocial assessment, suicide risk assessment, core assessment packet)
Provides individual therapy sessions for clients, utilizing appropriate interventions adapted to the needs of the client.
Completes appropriate and thorough documentation within established time frames, including progress notes for individual and family sessions, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Communicates with outpatient team to provide updates on client progress and to provide continuity of care.
Attends weekly training and individual/group supervisions as assigned.
Assists direct care in providing observations for clients, managing milieu conflict, and supporting clients.
Participates in meals and snacks with clients as assigned.
Provides crisis stabilization for clients in the milieu who may become de-escalated at times.
Provides “check-ins” with clients as needed based on the needs of the client and the appropriateness of the check-in.
Provides “on-call” coverage during assigned times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline (ALC, LCSW, LPC, PhD)
Two years' recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Eligible for registration with relevant professional association
Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts such as Mental Health Act, Freedom of Information Act, pertinent regulations, policies and procedures, and other statutory duties

How you will make a difference (Job Overview):
This position has primary responsibility for providing individual and group mental health services and case management services to children, adolescents, adults and their families. Services include but are not limited to individual, family and collateral therapy, bio-psycho-social assessments, treatment/service planning, discharge planning, etc. Functions as crisis intervention clinician as needed. He/she acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff. S/he documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information. May be requested to obtain additional certifications as needed, including for evidenced based practices. AMFT/ASW intern staff (that meet qualifications) may be asked to become LPS designee certified to facilitate the completion of “applications 5150/5585” for clients in need of such.
