* Creating and updating detailed work instructions for production.
* Designing manufacturing processes and selecting appropriate equipment, considering industrial standards and project constraints.
* Preparing industrial documentation, defining master data, and establishing method time.
* Estimating workloads and refining line balance.
Key Responsibilities
Early Project & Design Phase
* Gather and communicate industrial requirements during product specification and design.
* Engage in concurrent engineering with design teams, using standard SMP practices.
* Develop macro-process flows and introduce new technologies with validation plans.
* Identify equipment needs, estimate method times, and balance preliminary production lines.
* Pinpoint critical steps for detailed Process FMEA and plan FAR/FAI activities.
Detailed Design Phase (Pre-Serial Go)
* Draft and refine production work instructions.
* Complete documentation-such as industrial data sheets and IMFU.
* Conduct P-FMEA and support prototype validations.
* Define serial production specifications and ergonomic-compliant workstations.
* Finalize detailed line balancing and validate via FAR and FAI.
Post-Serial Go Support
* Update documentation and workstations to reflect engineering changes.
* Help the Production team meet QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.
Additional Contributions
* Support tender profitability alongside the Costing Manager.
* Participate in R&D programs as the industrial representative.
* Execute industrial feedback (REX) to improve future processes.
About You
We value passion and mindset first-exact qualifications can evolve. Key qualifications include:
* Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
* 5-10 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering (railway industry preferred).
* Proficiency in Process Engineering, work instruction creation, line balancing, and Lean methodologies.
* Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration tracking.
* Solid understanding of Quality, EHS, and Ergonomics.
* Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools (e.g., CATIA, DELMIA).
* Skilled with IS tools, Process FMEA, and QRQC methodologies.
