In your role as a Maintenance of Equipment Technician, you will:
* Be responsible for servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing rail equipment. Repair, replace and test machinery, components and systems related to rail equipment under direction of engineering or other staff by performing mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic activities.

Performs quality test and verification to insure safe performance of sub-assembly or component in order to properly report to the customer, governing agencies or for internal auditing purposes.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor based on train availability or repair schedule. Follows all Bombardier security and safety instructions or procedures in order to prevent any personal injuries and maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service.

In your role as a Maintenance of Way Technician/Laborer, you will:
Repair and rebuild railroad track. Physical duties will require frequent walking over extended areas with uneven footing; flexibility sufficient for track maintenance tasks such as flexing to pick up tie plates; balance sufficient to walk on ballast; standing for more than half of each work day with periodic breaks; lift/carry and push/pull equipment and other objects weighing 25 lbs. (frequently), 50 lbs. (occasionally), and 75 lbs. (infrequently); occasional climbing on ladders; bending, stooping, and kneeling; good eye-hand coordination; and bilateral dexterity.
Responsibilities
* A track laborer's job consists of repairing and rebuilding railroad track, using hand tools to do so. * HANDLE AND MOVE TRACK MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT. With assistance, load/unload equipment weighing 85- to 100 lbs. (air hammer, rail drill) from back of cart or truck and carry to work site; without assistance, load/unload equipment weighing 50 to 75 lbs. (track jack, rail saw, rail drill); with assistance, remove and install rail using rail tongs, with assistance, remove ties and slide new ties into place using two-man tie tongs; with assistance, move debris away from work site (spike cans, anchors).
* MAINTAIN TRACKBED. Remove and replace ballast; tamp ballast; unload or assist in unloading ballast from ballast cars.
* OBSERVE THE CONDITION OF TRACK, TRACKBED, AND TRACK RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR PROBLEMS OR DEFECTS. Make quick visual inspections for broken rails, defective switches and signals, deteriorating trackbed, track obstructions and weather related problems; check switch points; observe right-of-way and passing trains for shifted loads and spillage.
* WORK WITH EQUIPMENT. Safely and effectively operate the following: a hydraulic hammer to drive spikes; air or gas powered wrenches to loosen or tighten track bolts; hydraulic rail drill to drill holes in rail; portable abrasive rail saw to cut rails, and hydraulic spike pullers to remove spikes.
* PRACTICE SAFE WORK HABITS. Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures, wear prescribed safety apparel; take appropriate action when conditions threaten safety of self or coworkers; ensure equipment and work area are in safe operating condition before starting work; monitor for emergency situations by identifying visual signals and warning sounds.

Project Managers coordinate and deliver multiple, simultaneous fire and life safety projects of various complexities, which contributes to creating safer environments in critical institutions such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. As a Project Manager, your fiscal and managerial oversight across all project facets ensures client satisfaction, effective resource allocation, and safe, timely completion of projects.
As a Project Manager, you will:
* Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions, establishing comprehensive project schedules in coordination with the team while identifying crucial installation timelines
* Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion, and actively participate in project cost reviews to ensure financial efficiency
* Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors, coordinating their activities to align with the project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations
* Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams
* Diligently track project resources and progress, documenting any events impacting the schedule, scope, and overall efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project-specific change orders
* Manage project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team and Operations Manager, schedule commissioning resources, expedite the return of mark-ups for as-built development, and ensure timely completion of project-specific close-out documentation
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or state-recognized GED
* 3+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety or related industry
* Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations as well as the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
* Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
* Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
* 5+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
