1936

By 1936, Western Electric decided to dissolve its big motion picture service organization.

1946

In 1946, the company acquired Peerless and entered the transformer field.

1963

The following is an article by John W. Johnson from "The Image of Ling-Temco Voight", a publication of the then parent company of Altec Lansing. It is an excellent overview of the history of the company from its founding to the date of writing in December 1963.

1967

Expected to grow to $300,000,000 by 1967, the market is currently dominated by two companies, who have 88 percent of the sales.
