Production Associate Job in Winona, MN
It is our philosophy to move production associates to where our daily needs dictate. We will train our new hires.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all safety and PPE guidelines in support of an accident-free culture.
Maintain a clean work area and an organized workspace following prescribed housekeeping procedures. (5S)
Must have good attendance
Implement lean improvements throughout all processes to eliminate waste.
Provide backup for other areas within the department.
Monitor and reorder raw materials
Meet production standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read sales order and determine parts needed, color etc. to fill the orders.
Set-up and operate various hand tools, machines (saws, drills, sanders, spray finishing equipment) to produce product parts and components.
Check product for any defects before packing for shipment.
Package the products for shipping
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
This position generally requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in a production environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic math skills are required.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools is required.
Ability to follow directions is required.
Mechanical aptitude is helpful.
Attention to detail; Communication skills; Organization; and Adaptability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
