This Project Manager will be responsible for providing management oversight for all phases of a data center construction project, including project planning, scheduling, task management, coordinating material and equipment, and ensuring that drawings and specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget as well as project completion/project closeout. This position requires daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities that must be completed in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
• 3-5+ years of Structured Cabling Data Center Project Management experience.

Project Initiation/Project Planning:
• Developing cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources i.e. GANTT chart that references back to schedule of values and overall construction timelines including resources and timeline durations for scope of work.
• Selecting and coordinating work of subcontractors on various phases of the projects.
• Identifying all applicable safety requirements for project and ensuring all required PPE has been procured.
• Interpreting regulations and communicating with others; must read detailed blueprints and establish and maintain effective working relationship with other city employees, commissions and boards, state and local government agencies, contractors, builders and the general public using in-depth knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
• Ensuring that all material and equipment needed for project completion is identified and procured in collaboration with the Purchasing Department.
• Identifying and tracking project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Identifying data center standards and specifications, policies, and regulations.
• Developing Quality Assurance/Quality Control plans.
Project Execution/ Monitoring & Controlling:
• Tracking and controlling construction schedule and all associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time frames and budget allowed. Tracking progress and all necessary modifications to the plans.
• Overseeing performance of all trade contractors and reviewing all architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Supervising technicians, reviewing their reports and approving timesheets.
• Adhering to all safety requirements both internally and specific to job sites and ensuring safety violations are addressed promptly and in compliance with corporate guidelines and General Contractors.
• Coaching and directing staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with company goals, objectives and budget.
• Reviewing department procedures, staffing and equipment for maximum efficiency while controlling costs.
• Creating and maintaining change order log in collaboration with corporate accounting team and general contractors.
• Ensuring that work associated with change orders is only being executed when proper documentation and direction has been provided.
• Monitoring and resolving project issues that impact timeline, cost, or quality.
• Ensuring compliance with data center standards and specifications, policies, and regulations.
• Ensuring Quality Assurance/Quality Control plan is being followed and executed properly.

• Ensuring deliverables are up to client standard and have been accepted by client.
• Ensuring there are no open change orders pending.
• Ensuring final Pay Application is sent to client and paid in collaboration with corporate accounting team and General Contractor/Client.
• Creating and maintaining ‘Lessons Learned' log during project execution and post project completion.
