Since 1948, AMADA WELD TECH has worked to achieve one goal: to solve our customer’s manufacturing challenges.
AMADA WELD TECH INC.’s parent company, AMADA WELD TECH Co., Ltd., was founded in 1972 to manufacture and market semiconductor-related measuring instruments and welding control equipment in response to the demand for quality control in the automobile, television, and electronics industries.
June 1974 Developed and sold the integrated (MS model) capacitor discharge (MC model) and 3-phase rectifying (MP model) welding power supply.
May 1980 Developed and sold the world's first constant-current timer.
In 1984, the company developed a neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser welder that allowed for more precise and micro welding, and this product line became a central component of the company’s business, along with resistance welding.
October 1989 Moved Chubu sales office to Nagoya, and opened Nagoya sales office.
February 1991 Capital was increased to ¥912.4 millions.
April 1991 Established local subsidiary Miyachi Korea in Seoul, Korea.
October 1995 Redeemed the stocks owned by the company at the time of merger, and the capital was changed to ¥853.19 millions.
September 2001 September Listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, having previously been listed on the JASDAQ. July 2001 Acquired Benchmark International Inc. through Unitek Miyachi international, Ltd.
December 2004 Sales section and system section were integrated and transferred to 2-6-6 motoasakusa, taitoku, Tokyo.
January 2006 Developed the first fiber laser welder (ML-6300A) in Japan.
August 2009 Developed and sold the world's first 1kW-level fiber laser welder (ML-6810A). January 2009 Changed the trade name of Fujitsu Automation to Miyachi Systems Co., Ltd.
February 2011 Developed and sold the fiber laser welder (ML-6040A). Established Miyachi Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
