Overview
The Project Finance PortfolioManager will be responsible for assisting the Project Finance PortfolioManagement team in underwriting, credit monitoring and portfoliomanagement of a portfolio of clients where the repayment of the loan is based on cash flows generated by the related project (power/energy/renewables/solar).
Responsibilities:
Assist PortfolioManagers in underwriting certain aspects of proposed and existing transactions and assist in managing transactions according to the Bank's established guidelines and policies.
Assist in evaluating numerous transaction types across a broad array of power markets and energy sectors, conducting analysis of the borrowers, counterparties, and developing cash flow models.
Develop and manage financial models analyzing the economics and risks associated with project financing structures.
Provide assistance with Depository Agency services, such as preparing wire transfers and fielding internal and external depository inquiries.
Ongoing monitoring of credit/covenant compliance.
Manage the renewal process by working with the PortfolioManagers, the client and the credit department for a variety of tasks such as credit line increases, amendments, and waivers of tripped covenants.
Ensure compliance with EWB regulatory and credit requirements.
Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship follows established EWB credit policy, procedures, and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
Assist in the review of legal documentation for accuracy, and compliance with Credit approval requirements.
Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients to be determined by the PortfolioManagers.
Develop and maintain knowledge of market conditions.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of project finance (power/energy/renewables/solar).
Ability to understand and advise on complex financial proposals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Credit Underwriting
• Analyze and underwrite credit requests in a timely fashion by using some or all of the following
resources: applications, spreads, financial statements, tax returns, credit bureaus, meetings with customers/prospects, appraisals, web research and other resources as necessary.
• Determine if request is in compliance with Bank policy and note exceptions.
• Discuss deal structure, cash flow, collateral, and customer character with Commercial Bankers Recommend alternative credit structures or products where appropriate.
• Accompany Commercial Bankers on customer calls and interact extensively with customers in person and over the phone.
• Interact with attorneys and financial professionals including CPA's, CFO's, etc. as needed to assist
in the underwriting and closing process.
• Present analysis in written proposals for appropriate approvals and present as directed to the appropriate approval authority.
• Prepares loan memorandums.
• Conducts market surveys through contact with brokers, online research, etc.
PortfolioManagement
• Manage existing portfolio of customers by tracking and preparing annual renewals for lines of credit, reviews of term debt, and reviews of overdraft lines of credit. Maintain tracking database with updated information as needed.
• Conduct independent property inspections in conjunction with annual reviews.
• Identify potential problem loans and deficiencies.
• Assist customers when needed with questions regarding loans and retail products.
Job Specifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
A minimum of (4) four years of commercial credit experience is required.
Formal credit training is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
Understanding of Banking compliance requirements
Be well versed in the Bank's credit policy and underwriting standards

The Special Servicing Asset Manager is responsible for managing the Special Servicing of a portfolio of Agency (Fannie Mae) loans, which are in default or considered to be in imminent default. Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)
This position will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Monitor quality and performance of a non-performing loan portfolio through delinquency and other reporting
Ability to structure and execute resolution strategies (i.e. Foreclosure, Forbearance, Note Sale, DPO, Loan Modification or Reinstatement) in conjunction with the Investor goals
Perform comprehensive analysis of property cash flow, markets, collateral, and valuation while determining possible alternatives for default resolution
Work closely with Agency counterparts, in particular Fannie Mae's Special Asset Management (SAM) team to carry out desired resolution strategy
Review legal filings for accuracy and completeness
Prepare payoff/ reinstatement calculations
Prepare quarterly Loan Loss calculations
Review property condition assessment (PCA) reports to understand the scope of immediate repairs needed at the collateral property
Review property appraisal reports to understand the As-Is and As Stabilized values and impact on loss exposure
Understanding of legal contracts, bankruptcy law, foreclosure process, and loan servicing agreements
Lead, engage and interact with third parties including attorneys, receivers, management companies, brokers, appraisers, and environmental firms and engineers
Conduct Physical Property inspections, as required, in order to evaluate property condition
Provide written updates to senior management and investors
Present recommendations in a clear and concise manner
Request and review documentation supporting servicing advances
Will assist the VP/ SVP, Risk Management on ad-hoc projects and requests from Senior Management
Will work independently to identify problems and provide solutions to management
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real-Estate or a related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: 5+ years loan asset management experience with working knowledge of Special Servicing, bankruptcy and loan workouts.

Position Summary:
