Work Days: 177 days. Anticipated work schedule 8:10 am-3:10 pm with a 30 minute duty free lunch (7.25 hours per day)
Rate of Pay: Pay Range is $17.35-23.35 per hour (based on experience). Benefits and board paid IMRF available.
JOB SUMMARY
The job goal is to improve the quality of services provided to students and act as a student advocate by assisting the teacher in implementing all aspects of the educational program, to assist students to meet goals. This position is responsible for assisting the teacher by working with assigned students in classrooms and throughout the facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid IL paraprofessional license is preferred.
Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education; completed 60 semester hours of college credit at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; HS Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro; or HS Diploma or GED and passing scores on the ACT Workkeys is preferred.
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Requires employee to have the ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.

Individual care aides assist teachers in presenting lessons that demonstrate an understanding and use of a variety of instructional strategies, questioning techniques, and resources that promote student learning and encourage students' development of basic skills, critical thinking, and problem solving. Primary Job Responsibilities
Performs physical examinations and updates patient history.
Formulates a diagnosis and treatment plan as appropriate for patient needs.
Orders ancillary services as appropriate to meet patient needs.
Reviews all patient diagnostic test results and follows-up on abnormal test results. Reviews diagnostic test results with patient.
Requests specialty consultation as approved by the supervising physician.
Provides patient education as appropriate.
Provides treatments and procedures as appropriate.
Assists in the clinical management of the patient and works closely with members of the clinic to ensure that patient is receiving appropriate services.
Counsels and educates patients as needed to support compliance with the outlined treatment plan.
Notifies and consults supervising physician when a referral or transfer of patient care is required for urgent or emergent care. (e.g.: seeking services for: diagnostic, specialty care or emergent care and is critical for patient care/safety).
Documents patient care as required and in a timely manner.
Identifies high risk problems and transfers care to appropriate physician.
