About the team and the role: eBay's Homepage engineering team is looking for an outstanding Backend Engineer to work with as we redefine the face of eBay. You'll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to build great products that make a difference on one of the world's most trafficked and loved websites. What you will accomplish: Build and maintain eBay's homepage backend engineering and translate requirements to software design and create clean, efficient, extensible, maintainable code. What you will bring: 8+ years of experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages (emphasis in Java and NodeJS preferred), with deep mastery in one or two specific languages/framework. Experience in proposing and influencing technical strategy & roadmap, balancing short/long term wins is preferable. Experience designing and building scalable, distributed and high-available systems, ensuring high-performant, responsive website and accessibility. The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $132,000 - $222,100 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
