About this role: This role supports insurance and claims administration, including processing claims in Origami, reviewing OCIP documentation, and managing third-party insurance verification.     Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed. * Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the practice, in a friendly and welcoming manner * Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner * Schedules appointments * Gathers patients and insurance information * Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete * Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters EMR * Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients * Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensures files are complete * Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed * Print and prepare forms for patients visit * Collects and documents all charges, co-pays, and payments into EMR * Allocates balances to insurance as needed * Always maintains a clean workspace * Practices economy in the use of _me, equipment, and supplies * Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager * High school diploma or equivalent * Basic computer literacy * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Strong communication skills (verbal and written) * Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality Benefits * 401(k) with Match * Medical/Dental/Life/STD/LTD * Vision Service Plan * Employee Vision Discount Program * HSA/FSA * PTO * Paid Holidays * Benefits applicable to full Time Employees only.
