    As the Patient Care Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the coordination, management, and delivery of key services at our two urgent care locations in Las Vegas. You'll be responsible for helping coordinate the care of our patients and helping them find solutions through our treatment offerings. This position is accountable for the following functions: Receive, process, coordinate and schedule non-emergent medical transports and long-distance transports. Accurately and efficiently input information into Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. Maintain accurate and true records in all electronic and non-electronic platforms. Transfer calls to appropriate agencies as needed; answer calls from other agencies and take appropriate action as needed. Read and remain current on pertinent Agency and Clinical Communications Center policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Gathers and documents required medical necessity and billing payment information. Works with multiple departments, agencies, hospitals, and other entities to provide seamless transportation services. Receive and complete requests for services which are non-call related from management and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner. Identifies resources to facilitate alternative transport options. Identifies and coordinates the appropriate transportation resource, either internally or using external contacts to provide the appropriate level and mode of transportation based on standardized protocols and criteria for medical patients and customers. Anticipate, manage, and respond positively to changing conditions, i.e. extended wait times. Deescalate/resolve patient grievances with effective and kind communication. Keep the front office and patient waiting areas neat and orderly to maintain our high standards. Other duties are assigned to assist with the overall function of your location. Ability to know the difference between HMO, PPO, POS and Medicare insurances. Which requires auth. referral Ability to input the correct payor ID or name and address into EMA. Collecting all pertinent information at check in. (NPP, INS & ID, Demos, CCOF) Updating the PA log, ensure codes are entered correctly. Closing tasks - end of day is accurate and uploaded to share drive. Collecting cosmetic sales in lightspeed. Maintain a clean and organized reception area and restroom facilities.
