Key responsibilities include: Perform field assessments to support Electric Operations in compliance with the Ameren, State and Federal Standards and Safety Regulations. Coach coworkers to improve quality of Operations. Document findings and provide summary for review by operations management. Support and oversee internal and external crews during outages and storms. Facilitate effective and efficient business decisions. Promote safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations. Collaborate between locations to share best practices and common solutions. Assist in the development of process improvements or practices as identified. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline required. Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred. Ten or more years of relevant experience in electric operations, engineering, energy delivery design or training. Completion of a relevant technical trade program may be considered in lieu of degree. High school diploma or equivalent and two additional years (in addition to the above listed 10 years) in electric operations may be considered in lieu of degree. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Comprehensive knowledge of National Electric Safety Code (NESC), state and federal safety regulations, Ameren electric standards, and Energy Delivery/Operations processes is a must. About The Position The *Commodity Trader I is responsible for implementing short-term hedging strategies and providing asset optimization & energy portfolio management for generation assets.
