Good communication skills with crew members as well as clients are vital.
Must be able to work as many as 16 hours per day.
Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.

The Construction Manager will assist the Project Manager, serving as the day to day jobsite representative.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
Reviewing and interpreting plans, blueprints, site layouts, and specifics
Examining the structural quality, safety, and conformity of construction materials and practices.
Performing daily detailed on-site inspections of construction project to verify adherence to all plans, specifications, and building
Ensuring that all civil/structural engineering aspects of the project are carried out as per plans, drawings, codes, and specifics
Checking-in with Project Manager
Documenting inspection findings, status of work at the end of the day, and preparing detailed reports for
Performing or evaluating tests confirming quality requirements, civil/structural finishes, and building
Maintaining work records, act on inspection findings, and file
Checking all equipment and enforce strict compliance with all refinery safety and quality requirements.

Coordinating between the refinery and contractor to ensure both parties are aware of the work to be performed each day and the work planned to be performed each
Maintaining and ensuring project is on time and on
Coordinating RFIs and all other project documents with client, contractor, and engineer of record.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
Electrical field/installation experience required, preferably experience with 4,160 V switchgear and cables
Experience leading/supervising a team of electricians, preferably with 10+ years of electrical installation experience in an industrial setting
Solid grasp of building construction methods, building compliance and safety
Comfort with technology and familiarity with construction management software
Leadership skills, including task delegation and staff
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including making financial projections and creating project
Decision-making, analytical and negotiation
Strong conflict resolution
Must be able to work weekends.
May be asked to oversee additional construction projects as needed.
