    Job DescriptionDescription: Effective communicator dedicated to continuous process improvement responsible for directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within areas of assigned responsibility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Responsible to learn and take ownership of assigned areas in the industrial manufacturing facility and become an area expert on the assigned processes. · Responsible to monitor day to day operation, performance of processes and uptime of equipment while always working towards process optimization. · Responsible to recommend and develop projects in assigned areas. Develops improvement ideas through individual initiative. · Responsible to perform process improvements to all aspects of the processes which may include but are not limited to capital projects, day-to-day efficiencies, material handling, preventative maintenance, scheduling and more. · Responsible to assist in permitting of new and modified processes. · Responsible to develop economic analysis and justification, complete capital requests and to manage these projects within the limitations of the budget that is submitted. · Responsible to interface with vendors and contractors and to direct their activities along with acting as the contractor field representative for these individuals. · Responsible for management of contractors required for capital projects as is necessary under the Contractor Safety Program. · Responsible to reporting project status and details to Leadership effectively. · Responsible to perform a variety of engineering functions including mechanical design, heat transfer determinations, design drawings, fluid flow, ventilation, noise analysis of equipment and physical and chemical analysis of materials. · Responsible to uphold and understand company safety policies and engage actively in safety in design. · Responsible to write, develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for new or changed processes, and assists in operator training for new or changed processes. · Responsible to perform regular troubleshooting of existing mechanical, electrical, and process equipment. · May be required to assist in other areas and with other projects as necessary. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from four-year college or university and five (5) years related experience. Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical/Materials Engineering preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER APPLICATION SKILLS Windows; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; AutoCAD; Equation solving software; DeltaV a plus. Build and launch new pages using existing templates; modify templates as needed to meet evolving departmental needs, ensuring WCAG compliance. Technical Development & Troubleshooting Use HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript to perform minor layout adjustments and styling tweaks beyond standard CMS capabilities. Perform rigorous testing for broken links, typos, and formatting errors. Ensure all content is fully optimized for mobile devices and various browser environments. Identify and resolve display issues, plugin conflicts, or "bugs" reported by stakeholders. Conduct routine site audits and proactive maintenance to ensure the site is functional, secure, and up-to-date. 3. SEO, Accessibility & Analytics Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags, alt text, and proper header hierarchies. Collaboration & Strategy Cross-Functional Liaison: Work with a variety of campus constituents to turn creative visions into functional web experiences. Coordinate with Information Technology Services regarding maintenance of web-related software applications (such as the A-Z directory) and associated hardware needs. Documentation & Training: Maintain internal "how-to" guides and provide training to non-technical staff on basic CMS usage while maintaining WCAG compliance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related field or two years' experience maintaining websites in a higher education or enterprise environment, including all aspects of design, information architecture, content development, communications strategy, and application programming. The Butte office of the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology (Montana's state geologic survey) seeks a highly motivated quantitative hydrogeologist trained in groundwater modeling techniques to develop and apply groundwater models for water resources evaluation. The MBMG's Ground Water Investigation Program studies local- to regional-scale hydrogeologic systems, with projects that encompass groundwater/surface-water interactions and groundwater quantity and quality. A primary focus of the position will be to use groundwater modeling, scripting/programming, parameter estimation, GIS, and visualization software to develop and apply groundwater flow models for water resources evaluations. Responsibilities also include aiding in project design, collecting and interpreting geologic and hydrogeologic data, and writing reports. The successful candidate will join a vibrant group of geoscientists committed to providing high-quality data and interpretations to support the orderly and responsible development of Montana's natural resources.
