Job Description
Primary Accountabilities
Work to support and uphold the role of agency business owners as independent business owners. Ensure that agency business owners understand and make the connection between the corporate strategic plan and their practices and results; consider both corporate and agency needs when determining priorities.
Provide guidance to agency business owners and staff by exhibiting influence and expertise. Coache and advise agency business owners on sales results and execution of the state sales plan.
Assist agency business owners in understanding the overall profit of the district, while preserving the agency business owners' right to control the manner and means by which they sell insurance and otherwise run their own businesses.
Monitor and manage the execution of company initiatives for the district as they pertain to individual independent agency business owners.
Assist agency business owners as independent contractors in targeting and prioritizing the best sales activities and opportunities for them in their market and individual situation.
Provide business knowledge and expertise to agency business owners to assist them in ensuring the successful operation of their businesses.
Source and select agency business owners to fill openings.
Build strong relationship with agency business owners and staff, respecting their role as owners of their own businesses.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support and service.
Basic knowledge and understanding of business systems and how to leverage them to gain efficiencies in a business environment.
Prior management experience or demonstrated experience leading project teams.
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
Solid knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and reporting.
Prior experience developing and executing operational business plans and marketing plans.
Solid knowledge and understanding of budget management concepts.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Previous agency experience or experience leading or influencing agency owners in the field.
Candidate should reside in the district (Seattle area).
Licenses
Required by state statutes to have proper insurance licensing to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance products: Property and Casualty (personal lines authority does not qualify), Life.
Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
Travel Requirements
Up to 50%.

In this primarily field-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working in the field, directly interacting with customers, Agents, Agency Staff, etc. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.

The Field Property Claims Adjuster will be traveling locally to insured homes within Seattle, WA (98115) and surrounding areas. To be successful within the role, candidates should live within or near this area.

What you'll do
Investigate and evaluate onsite to resolve complex coverage and damage issues to include preparing complete estimates of repair for the covered damages. This may include accessing roofs by ladder, inspecting attics, crawl spaces and basements in search of damage.
Handle moderate to complex claims independently while managing your workload, from first notice of loss to final closure.
Be expected to work in a vehicle in the field daily while occasionally handling assignments from the desk.
Explain coverage of loss, assist policyholders with itemization of damages, emergency repairs and additional living arrangements.
Work with and coordinate a few vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.
May be called upon for catastrophe duty.
Position details
Territory-based work: Most workdays will be spent in the field within your assigned local territory, giving you the opportunity to work directly with customers and gain hands-on experience.
Training & support: To set you up for success, you'll participate in a comprehensive 5-month training program, which includes:
Primarily virtual and on-the-job learning.
Two short in-person training sessions (Weeks 4 and 7) at our Lewisville, TX office.
Limited overnight travel for training and team meetings (typically less than 10%).
Mileage Reimbursement: This role offers mileage reimbursement. You may qualify for a company-provided vehicle once mileage requirements are met. Additional details will be provided if you advance in the selection process.

* Coordinate with reinsurance, underwriting and subrogation teams on coverage, recovery and allocation issues; manage reporting and ceded claims processes.
* Set and maintain appropriate reserves for complex and catastrophic exposures; explain reserve rationale to senior management and auditors.
* Mentor, train and advise claims staff and less experienced examiners on coverage interpretation and complex claim strategies; act as an internal resource and SME.
* Monitor case law, regulatory and legislative developments affecting CGL and casualty coverage; translate trends into actionable practice updates and training.
* Participate in cross-functional special projects (policy language review, claim handling playbooks, major loss response) and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Independently manages projects of low to moderate complexity. Presents state reviews, other high complexity analyses and results of country wide initiatives to Product managers.
* Conducts high complexity analysis under minimal direction. As a subject matter expert for assigned states and product, with solid familiarity with regional/countrywide issues, completes state reviews and similar work for complex states or countrywide programs independently.
* Queries data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics and answer advanced business questions and builds advanced tools and queries for others to use. Serves as point person for high complexity country wide implementations.
* Leads own work stream on all projects and manages low to moderate complexity projects.
* Provides thoughtful recommendations that influence countrywide decisions and initiatives.

You will be a key player in enabling Liberty to achieve our profitable growth aspirations, driving the implementation of new pricing products and serving as a Product expert for our cross-functional partners. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to high visibility and high impact initiatives through a team of product analysts. You may also lead cross-functional initiatives with the goal of improving both speed and accuracy in the Delivery rollout process.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of and implementation of the latest countrywide P&S pricing initiatives
* Manage and develop a team of 5-6 analysts who are responsible for state-specific project launches
* Independently lead workstreams with much cross-functional collaboration to ensure existing and future rollout tools, data and processes are best in class, while also managing direct reports who own workstreams
* Lead the development of analytic tools and queries (i.e. complex excel files, processes and process documentation)
