Job Purpose
The BanquetCaptain supervises and manages banquet events. The BanquetCaptain is responsible for staff schedules, ensuring banquet operations run smoothly, and prioritizing the comfort and safety of guests.

Key Responsibilities:

About You
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage service.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical work standards.
Comfortable working in both indoor and occasional outdoor environments.
Basic bar and wine knowledge, including but not limited to various cocktails and wine varietals.
Ability to properly open a bottle of wine with a wine tool.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.

Responsibilities
Assist Banquet Managers in welcoming, serving, and providing a positive experience to members and guests during banquet functions
Setup banquet room as requested by the supervisor to include glassware, service ware, and linen
Attend roll call meetings prior to banquet kick off to learn responsibilities and expectations
Serve beverages and menu courses in appropriate order
Remove plates, service ware, and glassware as guests and members finish their courses
Abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests and members to ensure they are satisfied
Perform other related functions that may be assigned.
Qualifications
Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, applicable state card or certificate must be provided if required by state law

Working Conditions
Schedule varies based on business needs and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Regular movement throughout the venue is required, including time spent at the host stand, bar, dining areas, and service stations.
Extended periods of standing and walking are common during shifts.
Duties may include reaching, bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 30-50 pounds (such as trays, racks, boxes, or bar supplies).
May occasionally assist with resetting tables, moving furniture, or supporting team needs during peak service.
Vision requirements may include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment may involve exposure to loud noise levels, cleaning products, hot or cold food and beverage items, and fast-paced conditions.
