You'll perform a range of duties, including repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance at AMH properties, ensuring the functionality and condition of our homes while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities: * Provide troubleshooting support for water heater, plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues. * Perform various home repairs, including, carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing tasks. * Ensure HVAC systems are operational and perform system tune-ups. * Maintain all equipment in a clean, orderly, and functional condition. * Update and complete mobile work orders received from the maintenance center within the given timeframe. * Regularly engages with vendors and tenants. Requirements: * High School diploma/GED is preferred, and an Associate degree or technical training certification is a plus. * Minimum two years of experience in Residential/Property Maintenance or related field is required, or five years of experience in lieu of education. * Valid driver's license required. * Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is necessary. * Experience with an Apple iPad and HVAC preferred. * Universal EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification required in applicable states. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary. * Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety methods (OSHA) is required. * Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential. * Ability to multitask, exercise discretion and independent judgement, work in a team environment, pay close attention to details, and adapt to a changing environment. * Proficiency in English, basic measurement and calculations, and the ability to physically maneuver 300 lbs. are necessary. * Be comfortable lifting/carrying: 75 pounds to waist height, 75 pounds to shoulder height, 20 pounds above the head. * Capable to operate a motor vehicle and climb ladders (A-frame and extension ladders) to perform tasks such as tree trimming and removal of debris and leaves from roof gutters. Compensation The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience. Additional Compensation This position is eligible to receive quarterly bonus payments. About the role - Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician (Winnemucca, NV) We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician within our Specialty Mining Chemicals team. This position is responsible for assisting the maintenance team in servicing and repairing all fixed plant equipment, ensuring reliable production runs with minimal mechanical downtime. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician handles all day-to-day maintenance needs. Duties include regular and preventative machinery maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical or facility issues, performing necessary repairs, welding, and completing all related documentation. Role dimensions * Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday 4-10's * On-site full-time, on call every four weeks What you will be doing * Provide maintenance support to the Operations department for all mechanical equipment * Weekly oil and grease checks of rolling stock and certain process equipment * Repair of process vessels during shutdowns and support for startups * Installing and testing of various rotating equipment, pumps, seals, and gaskets * Basic understanding of testing motors and sensors for different testers * Basic ability to trace electrical wires, read a volt/ohm meter. Basic instrument understanding (4-20) signals * Forklift training, crane, truck driving, refrigerating training, and hydraulics * Ability to create/issue work orders and PMs in the CMMS (i.e., M3, SAP, and Passport) * Knowledge of piping systems and manual valves * Stainless and/or carbon welding, including MIG, TIG, and stick What you will bring * 2-3 years of plant maintenance, millwright, and welding experience * Experience in stainless and/or carbon welding (MIG, TIG, stick) required * 2-5 years of process control experience preferred * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
