What You'll Do
Design and implement network solutions by leveraging existing standards and deploying new technologies as required
Plan, document, and execute network changes across various environments
Troubleshoot network issues using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark and coordinate with vendors for resolution
Test and validate voice and data circuits, liaising with carriers for installations and upgrades
Support network deployments for new locations and global initiatives involving high-volume financial systems
Contribute to the rollout of new features and functionality across backbone, data center, and branch networks
Skills You'll Need
Knowledge of routing protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
Experience with network hardware including F5 load balancers, Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
Familiarity with network security concepts including firewalls and proxy servers
Certified technical engineer (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional)
Hands-on experience in enterprise network environments, preferably within financial institutions
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles and service management practices
Operational knowledge of loop prevention protocols such as Spanning Tree Protocol
