Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. **What Is the Opportunity?**
Under moderate supervision, provide office based telephonic medical case management with emphasis on early intervention, return to work planning, coordination of quality medical care on claims involving disability and medical treatment as well as in-house medical reviews as applicable to claim handling laws and regulations. Responsible for helping to ensure injured parties receive appropriate treatment directly related to the compensable injury or assist claim handlers in managing medical treatment to an appropriate resolution.

What Will You Do?
* Under direct supervision, the main responsibility of this internship opportunity is to develop risk control and general insurance industry knowledge, and to assist in providing risk control support to home office leadership, commercial or construction field consultants, or staff within our specialist disciplines (property, casualty services, forensics / industrial hygiene lab). This 10-12 week paid position.
* Internship responsibilities and activities involve working within a team environment and may focus on any of the following:
* As an active member of the team, assisting in:
* preparing, conducting, and completing risk evaluations of client locations
* determining the potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in risk selection
* identifying uncontrolled hazards and making appropriate recommendations
* consulting with clients on ways to control hazards to help them reduce, mitigate, or prevent loss
* Researching and apply technical information to support current risk control service efforts
* Attending co-surveys with experienced Risk Control staff to learn and develop consulting skills
* Collaborating with Underwriting, Claim, Clients, BI Business Partners and other Risk Control staff
* Completing one Capstone project and presentation to senior management on a relevant Risk Control topic
* Ensuring timely completion of assignments
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* GPA of 3.0 or higher in a relevant degree program: Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Allied Health, Fire Protection Engineering, Kinesiology, Construction Safety, Construction Management, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer and Digital Forensics, Civil or Industrial Engineering, Science or Business. Social Science and Humanities students with interest and aptitude will also be considered.
* Must be registered as a returning student and have completed related work studies.

Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets division offers a 10-week program that takes place at Morgan Stanley's Menlo Park, CA office. This program provides an opportunity to be placed in our Technology Equity Capital Markets Group. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders across products and work on innovative transactions for clients.
Over the course of the program, Summer Analysts will receive immersive training and orientation to develop a strong foundation in capital markets knowledge and financial analysis. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to interact with other businesses across the firm, while also receiving formal mentorship and engagement from senior leadership. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to be in a market driven environment while sitting on an open trading floor - closely integrated with their teams to receive on the job training and exposure to experienced professionals throughout the course of the internship.
Program Overview
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Work with our clients on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions.
* Learn how to read complex financial models and understand how companies in the Technology sector are valued.
* Learn how equity deals are priced and play an active role in the origination and execution of transactions, while working closely with your Corporate Finance counterparts in Investment Banking.
* Help prepare materials to provide clients with valuable updates on market news and product trends, including how these affect their access to the equity capital markets.
* Work with our trading and syndicate desks on pricing views and deal execution.
* Analyze and create, for both corporate and financial sponsors, various equity financing alternatives.
Qualifications & Skills
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2027 and Spring 2028.
* Minimum 3.4 GPA.
* Basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance.
* Outstanding analytical, quantitative and technological skills.
* A great multi-tasker, possess a strong work ethic, and have a positive attitude.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A quick learner, both a leader and team player, and a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
* Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $52.89 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
