American Leak Detection provides leak detection on water, sewer, gas, building envelopes and irrigation systems as well as line locating services to industrial, commercial and residential customers. We provide leak detection on pools, spas, waterfalls, fountains, and ponds also on an industrial, commercial and residential level. We are seeking a mechanically inclined and highly motivated individual who wants to learn more about finding and fixing concealed leaks This is a full-time position. Travel in work vehicles throughout the Columbus and surrounding area. Work Week: Monday - Friday; 9am - 5:00pm, some days 8am to later depending on jobsite locations and time of year.Pay is commensurate with experience / competency-based pay. An Apprentice Candidate will be required to demonstrate an ability to use computer technologies to maintain work flow and test results. Good written communication skills are preferred. Fully trained technician will be able to locate leaks on residential domestic/supply water plumbing systems and on pool plumbing systems and pool structures using specialized equipment. Technician will be trained as needed using diving equipment. Technicians will also be able to work well with others on larger commercial leak detection projects for both supply water and pools. Salary Range: $42,553-$68,510 Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to repair body damage to County-owned vehicles and equipment. Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies to complete work assignments; and operates and maintains hydraulic benders, grinders, and spray painters, and other power or motorized equipment. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required, with vocational or technical training in automotive body repair or a related field; two years of experience in auto body repair or automotive maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Essential Duties: * Performs duties necessary to support the Maintenance Division installing, maintaining, repairing, and/or modifying water pipelines, mains, wells, flush boxes, meters, and hydrants. Duties included, but were not limited to, repairing and/or installing meters; distribution system line flushing; tapping mains; repairing and/or installing fire hydrants; backflow testing and protection; repair and installation of various pipelines. Responsible for assisting with line locates. * Performs duties necessary to support the Maintenance Division installing, maintaining, repairing, and/or modifying wastewater pipelines, mains, systems, and manholes. Duties include, but are not limited to, video inspection and recording of lines; line flushing; backflow testing and protection, and line installation, maintenance, and repair. Responsible for assisting with line locates. * Performs heavy equipment operations in a safe and efficient manner. * Performs additional duties as assigned. Environment: Duties are performed primarily within an outdoor environment or setting. Exposure to electrical and chemical hazards; odor; sewage; blood-borne pathogens; vibration; loud noise; inclement weather; and dust, allergens, and mold. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Required knowledge and experience are normally obtained through the completion of a curriculum resulting in either a High School Diploma or GED, and one (1) to three (3) years works work-related experience in Construction, Plumbing, Pipeline Repair and Maintenance, or related field is required. * Water Distribution Operator license and Wastewater Collections certification are required within two (2) years of employment. * Must exhibit attention to detail, accuracy, and safety. * Must be able to communicate and present yourself professionally. * Must be able to understand and comprehend technical instructions and manuals. * Ability to read, interpret, and understand schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings/renderings. * Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions and/or directions. * Ability to read, write, and keep logbooks, inventory records, logbooks, purchase orders, and work requests. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working and professional relationships with City employees officials, and the general public. * Ability to work under high demands, short time constraints, and pressure in a fast-paced work environment. * Ability to be on-call and call-out. * Ability to properly operate heavy equipment. * Thorough knowledge of pipeline repair and installation. * Thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures, including but not limited to, lockout/tagout, trench safety and construction, sewer gas safety, etc. Other Requirements: * Must possess a Valid Florida Class B Commercial driver's license. * Must pass applicable pre-employment testing and background and credit checks. The Animal Services Technician Lead oversees intake processes for incoming animals, managing physical identification, health assessments, and behavioral evaluations. Supervises placement and housing arrangements, while guiding staff in feeding, cleaning, and handling protocols. Ensures optimal animal care by implementing sanitation, grooming, nutrition, and medication plans tailored to individual needs. Responsibilities include: physical identifications of animals, assessing health and behavioral issues, establishing sanitation practices, developing nutrition plans, administering medication as required, provide training on handling techniques, ensuring adherence to animal welfare standards, and performs euthanasia as necessary.
