Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Engineering, the Product Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing a wide range of new products with a focus on shooting, hunting and the outdoors. The Product Designer will also assist Product Engineers on engineering projects that require Industrial Design input. Position Overview:
The Product Engineer is one of the most critical contributors within the Product Engineering department, responsible for optimizing mechanical design, manufacturability, performance, structural rigidity and robustness, and functionality across an entire line of new products with focus on shooting, hunting, personal defense, and the outdoors. The Product Engineer plays a critical role, leading projects with a focus on performance, functionality, material selection, and advanced mechanical design. They will work closely with Electrical Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Product Designers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and experience with hunting, shooting, and outdoor accessories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* All aspects of engineering design and development for products for the company, including:
* Design
* Documentation
* Quality
* Product testing
* Improvements and problem resolution
* Technical guidance in design and development areas
* Documentation standards and records (computer and product specs)
* Product verification and validation
* Root cause analysis
* Collaborate with Electrical Engineer(s) on projects requiring PCB board design, software development, app development, etc…
* Collaborate with Product Designer(s) on projects requiring Industrial Design input
* Collaborate with Liaison Engineer(s) on product requirements, supplier requirements, costing and BOM requirements, functionality and durability requirements, etc...
* Collaborate with Marketing Manager(s) on product requirements and key features
* Adhere to and improve the company's New Product Introduction Process (NPI)
* Act as Project Champion for projects including cost analysis, quality, schedule, compliance, etc. while maximizing the quality and output of the NPI process.
* Responsible for improving engineering costs, quality or design of existing products.
* Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and supply base in relation to NPI.
* Build and maintain professional, constructive working relationships with other departments and with suppliers.
* Resolve quality and customer support issues by lending expertise to respective departments.
* Work safely as well as identify and report any safety hazards immediately.
* Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all common areas.

Education and Experience:

Contacts patients to confirm orders and communicates any financial obligations before referral for delivery/service scheduling.

Responds to emergency calls and related needs as needed during regular business hours and on an On-Call basis.
Effectively works and coordinates timely discharges with Customer Care Center and/or Branch Customer Service Team.
Operates a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) in accordance with the essential job functions.
Sets-up and delivers home healthcare products and services.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma required
At least 2 years of related experience
Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Engineering Technician (Mold Repair) within our Engineering team to help support our business. As an Engineering Technician (Mold Repair), you will have the opportunity to maintain and enhance production injection molds and equipment, and process injection molded parts to ensure a good part is repeatedly produced. You will work in a collaborative team environment supporting each other and striving to achieve cost and quality objectives.
So, what will you be doing as an Machinist: Mold Repair Technician?
* Ensure safety practices are implemented, including the use of protective equipment as required.
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and repair, development of injection Mold manufacturing systems, including but not limited to:
* Trouble shooting and repairing complex injection molds
* Develop injection molding processing parameters to ensure consistent, good product
* Work with other team members to troubleshoot issues and determine a course of action to meet quality and production volume goals
* Work with the Engineering team on mold design, spare parts list and troubleshooting
* Communicate mold status and timing expectations
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Previous experience in injection mold repair and processing
* Machining skills, manual mill, lath, grinding, CNC skills a plus, required to repair / make parts for injection molds
* Ability to understand priorities and stay on task
* Able to use measuring tools.
* Have mechanical skills and ability.
* Able to read blueprints and use CAD data to make / repair parts
* Able to work in teams on continuous improvement projects.
* Good Communication skills
