Where Your Career is a Force for Good! The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Regional Philanthropy Partner (Individuals and Foundations) to support the St. Louis metropolitan area. This is a hybrid role where you work from home and in office, while also travel around to meet with donors. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: We are looking for a Regional Philanthropy Partner who will meet fundraising goals and objectives and connect with our donors to serve our mission. In this role, you will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective regional donors in expanding their financial support of the work of the American Red Cross. Craft and Execute Winning Donor Strategies Lead the charge in developing innovative strategies to qualify, retain, and grow donor contributions across the region. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create personalized, compelling solicitation plans that align donor interests with the Red Cross's mission. You'll also have the opportunity to guide and inspire your team in implementing impactful fundraising strategies that drive results. 2. Build and Nurture Deep Donor Relationships Take ownership of a portfolio of donors in St. Louis and surrounding areas. Develop meaningful, long-lasting radical connection with donors that leads to greater affinity of the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross. With an annual fundraising goal tied to your portfolio, you'll develop and execute donor engagement plans that result in powerful and strategic asks. Lead in-person relationship building including meaningful solicitations, thoughtful stewardship and intentional cultivation through customized connections that resonate with donors. When disaster strikes, rise to the challenge in connecting donors with community need. Revenue target may increase due to major domestic disasters. 3. Drive High-Impact Donor Engagement Programs Lead the development and execution of programs and giving circles that identify, cultivate, and steward donors giving at the $5,000+ level. Collaborate with leadership volunteers to find and nurture high-potential prospects, and partner with Gift Planning staff to solicit giving opportunities. Stay organized and on top of donor engagement with regular and consistent updates to Salesforce and other data sources. 4. Lead the Charge in Individual and Foundation Partnerships Grow and sustain strong relationships with major individual, and family foundation donors to meet ambitious fundraising goals. In partnership with the local Executive Director, support and empower a local Board of Directors to engage their peers through programs like the Tiffany Circle Society and work to support engagement with their respective corporations to help support the mission of the Red Cross. You'll also dive into crafting compelling grant proposals to engage foundation boards for long-term support. 5. Be at the Forefront of Disaster Relief Fundraising When emergencies arise, the American Red Cross is ready to support communities in times of disaster. Support disaster relief fundraising efforts that drive immediate impact and attract donors to our life saving mission. You'll play a crucial role in helping donors support urgent Red Cross needs during times of crisis, turning compassion into action. 6. Inspire and Collaborate with Colleagues and Fundraising Volunteers As a leader in fundraising, you'll recruit, mentor, and develop passionate volunteers who support our mission in the fundraising space. Additionally, you'll work closely with a team of colleagues leading the mission of the Red Cross, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and shared success as you collectively drive fundraising efforts to new heights. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience required. * Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, and proven success with complex requests is required. A current valid driver's license and a good driving record is required. Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Salesforce.com, Givesmart). Ability to work on a team within a collaborative environment and ensure the highest customer service orientation. Travel: Frequent travel within the Region is required. Job Summary: The Parent Partner works with families that may include birth parents, non-custodial fathers, absent parents, resource parents and children placed in out of home care with a goal of reunification. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in the initial Building a Better Future training; Provides training/education to DHS staff about the Parent Partner Program; Assists in the goal of reunification and/or the development of appropriate alternative permanent plans Is available for support and education for family visits; Meets face to face with each referred parent at a minimum of once a week for two hours, and as needed, whenever possible in the family home; Work intensively with birth parents to promote engagement in case plan activities via face-to-face visits, letter, emails, and/or phone calls; Makes contact with the referred biological parent(s) within seventy-two hours of the referral to begin to establish a relationship and rapport with the client and clarify the intent of the Parent Partners service; Makes contact with the assigned foster care provider within five days of receipt of referral. Works with the parent and the assigned foster care provider to develop the Parent Agency Agreement/Treatment Plan (PAATP) tailored to the needs of the client, children and court expectations; Assists parents by providing support, empathy and information about the foster care system, courts, services, etc; Provide a sense of hope and inspiration through encouragement, outreach, and connecting parents with resources; On a monthly basis, reports on dates and times of each contact and the nature of the contact, a summary of the family contacts with regard to family progress toward reunification goals, any issues of concerns related to the family, child placing agencies, courts, services, etc.; Accompanies parents to court proceedings, Family Team Meetings, treatment recovery, other agency required meetings, other gatherings with parents, etc. for the purposes of support and advocacy of the parents' rights; Along with the parent, interacts with child placing agency staff to see that clients are receiving appropriate services in a timely manner; Collaborate with Parent Partner team including the Parent Partner Supervisor and/or Program Manager, child welfare case worker, planning committees, and others; Meet with DHS caseworker periodically during the duration of services, as needed or requested by the family; Assists in mediating conflicts between the assigned foster care worker and the client as needed; Assists in providing child placing agency staff with a more thorough understanding of birth parents' experiences in the child welfare system by providing in-service trainings for staff and through regular contact with child placing agency staff; Requests re-assignment if there is a conflict or concern (including if he/she knows the birth family or lives in close proximity; Provides self-advocacy and empowerment skills to all referred parents on navigating through the system; Help maintain connections between parents and children by observing and advocating for children and family rights; Participates in required trainings. Attend all scheduled team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Personal experience with the child welfare system resulting in successful reunification with children and dismissal of wardship. Have been reunited with child(ren) for at least one year. Training may be started after six months of reunification. Sensitive to the concerns of parents, and able to establish rapport effectively. Have a healthy and stable family situations with no current CPS substantiation or safety issues. Experience dealing with the court system and an ability to assist others in navigating the child welfare system. Computer literate. The ability to work in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Cultural competence The ability and expectation to work a flexible work schedule including non- standard hours such as evenings and weekends and to be available to families 24/7. The ability to work with child welfare staff. If substance abuse was addressed in prior CPS complaint, or if substance abuse counseling was required, parent must be substance free for at least one year and to provide evidence to support. Allow for release of medical or mental health records/reports upon request. Sign a standing release for individuals with prior substance abuse and/or prior or current mental health diagnosis. Parent Partners must request for, and provide (to the Contractor) a copy of a Central Registry query upon request (by the Contractor). Required participation in all mandated training as well as individual and group supervision, including clinical supervision. Willingness to share their experiences as a learning tool with other parents, community partners, and child welfare staff. Individuals who haven't resided in Michigan for the previous 10 years are required to sign a waiver stating that they have not been convicted of a felony. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. Engages parents/caregivers to emphasize the importance of creating safe and secure home environments for children and others defined as “family.” Assists the family in identifying precursors and antecedents to past crises and encourages the family to work in collaboration with their chosen supports to prevent future crises from occurring. Works with identified families, parents/caregivers to increase Monarch's understanding of the family's strengths, needs, preferences and vision. Collaborates with the child/family and interdisciplinary treatment team to develop person-family centered treatment plans and crisis plans. Emphasizes the value of creating connections and social supports within the community.
