When you join our team you will be utilizing your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process. This includes collaborating with your team to transport and setup equipment at the collection sites in local communities, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.

Standard Schedule (Portland, Maine):
Variable shift Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday with one additional weekday off
To best meet the needs of our donors and community, staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required in some locations.
Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance
Pay Information:
Starting rate: $22.00/hour
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required. At the American Red Cross, we conduct many mobile blood drives at businesses, schools and many other locations. All staff work as a team to setup and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.

We are seeking a General Maintenance and Fleet Tech for our Portland Red Cross Blood Center in Portland, ME.
Schedule Shift is Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm (flexible - 40 hours). On call is required. Valid Drivers License is required.
Offer includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Up to $8,000 annually in on-call pay.
Main facility is 16,000 square feet. Fleet of 26 vehicles across 3 facilities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Under general supervision, the General Maintenance Fleet and Tech II will perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. The General Maintenance Fleet and Tech II typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair and electrical. Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Maintain and repair organization's facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities. Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings. Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks. Paint structures and equipment as needed. Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems. Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies. Install, operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment.
May move and store furniture and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs of various projects. Requisition new supplies and equipment.
May plant and tend flowerbeds. Prune shrubs and trees to enhance growth and appearance, water lawns, shrubs and flowerbeds and spray fertilizer and insecticides. May rake and remove fallen leaves, sweep external walkways and staircases and may remove snow using power removal equipment or shovel. Apply snow-melting chemical when necessary on company roads, walkways and outside staircases.
May drive vehicle to other locations.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Responsible for 24 Fleet vehicles across 3 facilities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Education: High School or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Related experience includes skill and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, pluming, masonry and electrical work is required.
Skills & Abilities: May require a valid driver's license and clean DMV record. Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable. May be required to have basic computer skills. Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Skills and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required. May have on-call duties. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: Will drive vehicle to other locations. A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required.

The salary range for this position is (Maine): $24 - $26 per hour

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Donation Center Attendant to be responsible for all matters pertaining to the operations and security of the donation area.
Responsibilities
The Donation Center Attendant will receive and receipt (per policy) all donated material courteously and efficiently, safeguard all donated material and assigned equipment, advise donors of unacceptable materials, maintain neatness and cleanliness of the donation center and surrounding area, and sort and load trailers. The Donation Center Attendant will also be responsible to ensure that no unauthorized personnel enter the Donation Center, that no merchandise is kept, sold or otherwise diverted without direction from Administrator(s), and that complaints, damage, and unsafe conditions are reported to supervisor immediately.

This position works within the established structure and organization of the Salvation Army's Eastern Territory, reporting to the Divisional Director of Advancement (DDOA) with a dotted-line relationship with the Territorial Director of Gift Planning (TDGP) to ensure program quality, adherence to Territorial minutes (policies), and participate in training and educational programs.
Responsibilities
Top Prospects
Cultivate, solicit, and steward the 125 prospects and donors who are most likely to make a substantial planned gift within 12 to 36 months.
Steward of all donors who have completed a planned gift. Collaborate with other fundraisers when these donors are on another fundraiser's Portfolio.
Gift Planning Production
Meet and exceed GP Production Goals which are set at the beginning of each fiscal year.
Expend most attention and effort on the largest gifts which usually require the longest timeframe. Progress in this area is tracked with the three-year cumulative-average production goal.
Primarily focus on raising revocable and irrevocable deferred gifts, ordinarily raising no more than 10% of total fundraising production in outright gifts.
Gift Consultation
Provide consultation on technically complex gifts, high end value gifts requiring exceptional stewardship, and gifts of assets or gifts structured in such a way that may require Territorial Gift Acceptance Committee review as well as asset type-specific due diligence review. Make this service available to donors, prospects, volunteers, volunteer groups, Salvation Army officers, and employees.
Work through the TDGP as concierge, facilitating such gifts through various THQ review processes in synch with other stakeholders, following the pertinent Salvation Army gift planning policies.
Provide advice to donors and fundraisers about the Salvation Army's allocation procedures for unrestricted and designated gifts.
Assist in accessing outside legal, technical, or third-party expertise, in consultation with TDGP to facilitate gifts, especially when such gifts cannot be completed through internal TSAE processes.
Marketing/Lead Generation
Follow up with TSAE's and Northern New England Divisional GP marketing and lead generation, including mail, eNewsletters, and digital marketing. Use divisional GP marketing to supplement these efforts when appropriate without competing with TSAE efforts.
Fully utilize and curate annual divisional Estate and Charitable Gift Planning Institute (ECGPI) to cultivate allied professionals and raise GP Production.
Collaborate with DDOA, Charitable Gift Planning Relations and Marketing Coordinator, and other divisional colleagues on GP marketing efforts.
Reporting
Maintain all information related to Director of Gift Planning GP Portfolio in Salesforce, under the direction of the DDOA for assignments and reporting to TDGP and Monthly GP Group Meetings.
Track and report GP activity and productions through Salesforce and monthly reports.
Adjust and make corrections if there are discrepancies with the amounts reported at Monthly GP Group Meetings.
Maintain all information concerning donors, prospects, and gifts in strict confidence. This information is the property of TSAE.
Training
Participate in all training for new CRD and GP team members.
Attend territorial annual meetings and national conferences as required,
Attend GP webinars provided by the TDGP.
Establish and maintain professional memberships recommended by the DDOA and TDGP.
Attend Salesforce training and user group calls as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Project management or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements
CAP, CFP, CFRE or other fundraising and/or gift planning credential preferred.
Knowledge of donor motivations and Gift Planning methods and vehicles in relation to overall resource development programs, campaigns, and efforts.
Demonstrated record of cultivating and closing large gifts.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
